I advanced into Fashion Nail & Spa upon Madison Avenue, ensconced in the throes of what only the denizens of Upper East Side might understandāa grave nail predicament. My right index finger presented itself, bearing the ignominy of chipped gel polish, manifesting clearly as a vexation to any beholder. No prior engagement facilitated my arrival; rather, it was sheer resolve and the pressing urgency that accompanies those greatly troubled by such a debacle.
As if guided by some celestial hand of fate, I found myself allied with Joanna. She assumed command not merely with readiness but with a kind of sovereign authority. Her own nails stood as exemplars of perfection, heralding the excellent resolution I was soon to experience. Compelled by the magnitude of the moment, I secured a photographic record of her endeavorsāa witness to this not insignificant wonder.
In the briefest span, akin to what the city's pace might suggest, Joanna effected a transformation miraculous to behold; my erstwhile tragic finger was rendered magical in less than a decem. This engagement transcended the ordinary bounds of a mere mend; it was a strategic salvation for my manicure-induced compulsion, thrusting me once more into the vibrant tumult of New York existence.
Acknowledgments must be directed to Joanna and Fashion Nail & Spa, to whom I owe the restored dignity of my gesture, now rendered with impeccable assurance. Shall I grace their establishment with my presence once more? Indubitably, and with a speed that surpasses even the quickest invocation of āBack...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really normally love this place- itās clean and everyone is friendly and normally does a great job. However I really just got the worst manicure. I got home and it already looks like itās about to peel from the bottom of my nail. Itās like they didnāt touch my cuticles and the polish is about to come off from the cuticle. And I paid an extra $10 for the Essie long lasting polish so it was more expensive than usual. Iām now on vacation (left the afternoon of the manicure) otherwise Iād be back in there today for them to fix it. I truly could do a better job myselfā¦.
Update: canāt figure out how to respond directly to Fashion Nails but yes, it was the Madison and 88th/89th location and the woman said she had to charge me extra for the Essie long lasting polish. I did the manicure/pedi combo and it was like $114 but I paid with cash so it was $105, if I remember correctly. Anyway, I appreciate your response and let me know if thereās anything you can do. Thank you.
Update again: thank you for the free āmake upā manicure. It was great and I appreciate it. Updating stars to 5 for very good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow. Great new find in the area i just moved in, thanks to Yelp and its recommendations :) Conveniently located on Madison avenue in UES NYC, this well-lit, neat and friendly salon has some of the best cutomer service i've seen in this industry. My appointment was booked right away, and moved to a later time with no problem. Staff of the Fashion Nail & Spa has amazing manners - not only they greet each client at the door, they also walk each client and open the door when they're done and ready to leave. I asked for someone who can treat my hands gently, and was assigned to May. She did not dissappoint and bypassed my expectations: May went ahead to spend a bit longer to make sure that my nails look exactly like on the picture i showed her. I ended up adding a 20 min chair massage, which is only $16 for 10 minutes. Throughout the entire time i was there, i felt being taken care of. The energy of this salon is high, and you can tell this by the smiles of clients coming in and out. Thank you so much, guys. I look forward to...
