What a local gem on the Upper East Side! I will recommend this spot to all my friends from now on. If you’re heading to a museum nearby, do yourself a favor and stop by this charming Italian spot.
We had a fresh, crusty Bianco pizza topped with zucchini and a classic Margherita -both absolutely divine! You can taste the quality in every bite. The ingredients are real, fresh, and thoughtfully paired.
What truly set this place apart? 💐 Fresh cut flowers on the table and unique design. 🍨 Homemade gelato that transported me straight to a sunny streets of Rome. 🍷 A wine list that would impress even your most particular sommelier friend.
The service? Impeccable. Friendly, fast and they make everyone feel at home, from families to four-legged friends (yes, dogs are welcome there and we saw a bunch of really cute ones!). Bonus points: they keep things fresh with new menu additions - Birch coffee was the latest surprise, and it was perfect. I’ll definitely be back for the food, the atmosphere, and that magical sense of a quick Italian...
Read moreDo not eat here. Shockingly rude management and wait staff, and awful service. I had a beer and ordered a cheese plate. When the waiter (Freddy) served the cheese plate, instead of clearing the table he began pushing the plate onto the table, using the plate to push our glasses and silverware out of the way. By doing this, he knocked over my glass and spilled my entire beer on me. He grabbed a napkin, took the empty glass and left. We asked for the check immediately as I had to leave to clean up, and this guy charged me for the beer he spilled on me, then started arguing with me that I had done it and smirking saying he owed me nothing. He refused to get his manager. Finally he came out saying he had removed the beer, but refused to get the manager after I asked. I approached Ariel, a manager, to explain; he also argued and did not seem surprised by his servers attitude. I paid for my meal out of shock but I will be calling...
Read moreTerrible experience. We have been here several times because it is very close to our home, and usually there is no manager present. The "chef" is in charge and makes terrible decisions. Most recently, my wife ordered something she has had several times before. Previously, it always came with cream on the side, so the fact that she doesn't like cream was not a problem. This time it came covered in cream. We explained the problem and asked for another without cream. The "chef" refused. The dish was taken away with no replacement. He knows that unsatisfied customer complaints result in low or no tips, which affect the serving staff but not him. One bad experience too many. I tried to talk to him, neither he nor anyone else would admit to...
