Amazing! Is an understatement. From the first interaction, to the "end" (although Salvator is so great that he maintains his contact and is so welcoming to helping a client that it still hasn't ended) we have had an unforgettable and remarkable experience.

With the arrival of our new pup, we were faced with the reality that our basic training with our older dog was not enough, and with COVID, NYC life, etc., our younger pup developed some difficult behaviors (i.e., leaping towards other dogs, bikes, scooters, at times barking and even nipping our other dogs tail, which our other dog began to do more as well). We were feeling extremely overwhelmed - not only feeling like we weren't doing right by our boys, but also current work/life stresses, and how difficult it might be to really put the work in to get them where they need to be. After reading reviews, I messaged on thedelighteddog.com and Salvator called me within hours. Our consultation phone call was in depth, and already he began to provide his expertise. We booked an hour long training session that week.

Salvator was on time and met us at our building. Within the first 10 minutes it was clear that our dogs were following his lead, having never met him before! He allowed us to learn through walking our dogs ourselves what we could do to improve the behavior. Within 40 minutes our dogs were acting like they didn't even notice bikes going by, kids on scooters, or dogs barking at them. He was thorough in his feedback, modeling, and explanations. After the training, Salvator was quick to follow up and all we had was good news. We have of course been implementing everything he taught us to have this success, but it truly feels magical how much improvement has occurred already. It took a while for me to take the plunge with Sal his crew. Our longtime Dog Walker, finally retired, and I looked for a long time for someone that I could trust and felt comfortable leaving our two dogs border collie and a mini Aussie with Someone knew. What started as a one day a week trip to Brewster grew into a nice relationship where I feel comfortable leaving our dogs for weeks at a time. Our dogs get exercise. They’re safe and When the white van pulls up, the dogs are excited to jump into their crates and ride up to Brewster for a fun day. They need a lot of running and playing and that’s where they find their fun… chasing balls playing with other dogs. I know they get exercise And they’re safe and cool when temperatures are unbearable. They have air conditioned areas too! Sal does a trial to make sure the dogs he takes are not aggressive and can get along with the other dogs. Sal truly understands animals . Delighted Pets has been wonderful, communicative and will work with dogs and their owners to be happy. Sal is great and has always stepped in to fulfill our needs. I’ve been a customer of The Delighted Dog for over a year. While I have tried many different dog care options (walking, day care, etc), the professionalism, experience and customer care at The Delighted Dog is bar-none best-in-class.

First, The Delighted Dog offers more than simply dog-walking services. Their product offerings also include “Hound Hikes,” day long excursions to a nearby farm. At the farm, my dog runs, plays and often-times trains for hours on end. The Hound Hikes give my puppy the (much needed) opportunity to burn off so much more energy, as well as socialize with other dogs and The Delighted Dog’s best-in-class team.

With brings me to my second point: top-notch, noticeably better dog-care professionals.

Like almost any service job, what distinguishes The Delighted Dog is the passion of their staff for their work. I’ve dealt extensively with both Carlos and Taylor, who are extremely knowledgeable, personable and reliable.

This team is on time, puts the owners and their dogs at ease, amenitizes the overall experience (treats, prompt pickups, etc) and does it all at a reasonable price. They go above and beyond. I promise you won’t be disappointed...
