I’ve genuinely never felt compelled to write a review before but 'Pasta de Pasta' has brought it out of me. Do yourself a favor and browse through the early reviews - you will see that the vast majority of reviewers are not based in the U.S. and clearly have never been to 'Pasta de Pasta.' Based on the other reviews from these accounts, they’re based in Turkey and were likely paid to leave fake reviews and/or are friends/family of the managers/owners. Any social media posts you’ve seen for Pasta de Pasta are likewise paid/false advertising. This place is a walking health-code violation and, as others have noted, they are not equipped to serve quality food. Case in point: the wait times range from 30 minutes to 90 minutes for a bowl of undercooked, flavorless pasta. There is not a line because the food is just so good! (lol) - there is a line because the kitchen and staff are wildly inefficient (its mostly young kids - not their fault). The line is majorly disruptive to an obviously busy pedestrian through-way, and blocking other businesses. One more fun note: there are rats in the backyard seating area! Imagine what’s in the kitchen. Don't eat here. Save your...

All the times I have walked by this place there has been a super long line out the door so I went early one day a bit before they opened and was one of the first ones in line. The line is not only long but moved very slowly when I was there. They specialize in fettuccine Alfredo so the menu isn't very large. I got mine with truffle oil but although I could smell it I couldn't taste it so that was disappointing. The pasta was ok but it definitely wasn't worth getting early and waiting for them to open or waiting in that super long line. There is limited seating inside although I did not look in their backyard so they may have more. The entrance/exit is right next to the counter where you buy the pasta and they prepare it so in order to leave you have to squeeze past the line. The day I went there were also a group of cops who cut the line and were extremely rude to other customers and this was apparently allowed by the owner according to the cops although I'm not sure if that's true. Either way the staff didn't do much about the situation and when it takes about 5 min per person then that adds an extra 20 minutes of waiting.

Tldr: long wait for...

Pasta de Pasta: The East Village's Hidden Gem for Italian Street Food

Pasta de Pasta is truly a standout in the East Village, and as far as I know, it's the only Italian street food spot in the area—and what a gem it is! If you’re craving authentic Italian flavors in a casual, laid-back setting, this is the place to be.

The staff here are very friendly, making you feel like welcome from the moment you walk through the door. Service is quick and efficient, so you can enjoy the fresh, high-quality dishes without a long wait. It's rare to find a spot that balances speedy service with the authenticity of freshly made Italian food, but Pasta de Pasta pulls it off beautifully.

The food speaks for itself—simple, delicious, and full of that unmistakable Italian flavor. While street food options aren't hard to come by in this part of NYC, Pasta de Pasta offers something truly unique. The East Village needed a place like this, and now that it's here, I can't recommend it enough! If you’re looking for fresh, timely, and authentic Italian street food, Pasta de Pasta is the...

I was really looking forward to this place however I’m a little dissatisfied with the experience; firstly the lady at the register takes care of someone who cut in front of me she was taken care of because all she wanted was a bottled water which she paid case; ok so I’m thinking fine, second I was told my main order, pasta with bolognese sauce was ready but the Arancini would take ten minutes, so I’m waiting, the Arancini arrived but then my main dish was given to another customer who then returned it, the lady at the register apologized packs in the bag after she said no worries I’ll make you another, I pay for the meal. I get to my car and tried the Arancini, no if you are familiar with how Arancini taste you would understand my disappointment after I bit into and all I can taste is how salt and greasy it was not to mention the sauce provided is cold šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø, the bolognese and pasta was not to bad but could be better but for the price I give it C. The environment seems friendly but very busy and packed standing room only. I give total three stars.

I went here after seeing their cheese wheel on instagram. I got there in the afternoon this past Friday and it was hectic in there. There’s an extremely narrow passage from the door to the interior of the restaurant. I knew I didn’t want to dine in so I stood and waited for my food. There young lady working the cash register was very nice and I appreciate her welcoming and kind nature over everything. Everyone else working behind the counter seemed rude. It took a minute for my food to be ready. When I got home, I ate it and I don’t think it’s really worth the hype. The shrimp and red sauce as well as the pesto that I opted to have were flavorful. But the pasta was bland, oily and had no cheese. It tasted like it was not tossed in the cheese at all. I’m not sure if they even put my pasta in the wheel before packing it up and giving it to me. I couldn’t believe how bland it was. I also ordered the tiramisu, it was ok but the coffee taste was overpowering and it wasn’t sweet enough for me to really consider it a dessert.
