Patacon Pisao Truck 🇻🇪 — Restaurant in New York

Last night was the last time I dined here. I placed my order with the girl and told her to put the sauces that come with my order on the side and I printed my receipt so I can have a copy. She brings my order without the sauces she agreed to put on the side and didn’t give me my receipt. I go back to her counter and asked for my sauces and receipt and she acted like I owed her something for her negligence. When I read the receipt it said, “no sauces” which is not what I said.

I ordered the “patacón pisado” sandwich which comes with cheese. It’s a big sandwich so you’d expect the cheese to be proportionate with the sandwich but it wasn’t, it was about two inches long. They’re cheap.

The second to last time I dined in, I asked the waitress to bring me something and after a long wait, she never came back to my table.

The perception is these workers don’t care or only care about certain customers more than others and that’s a bad look.

Spend your money at a better restaurant with better food...

Nice people, good food. Only tried the location in Washington Heights and I'm really happy with the experience. For those that decide to hit this "permanently parked" food truck because you are either taking your car to the huge number of body shops in the area, or plan to go dancing in one of the many many clubs in this neck of the woods the good news is that they open at noon but they don't close until 6am in the morning. 2 park benches to sit on while you wait. Juices and other soft drinks are available although at the bottom of the block there's a corner stand with fresh green coconuts if that's the "water" you want. No cover if the weather turns sour, but if the sun is beating down there is a little shade to be had thanks to a city tree planted on the sidewalk. The shade only shelters one of the benches. A pregnant woman’s craving! And an after party late night spot. When I was younger, I’d come with my friends all the time after a great night partying. Later, I used to make my husband randomly get me one, at any time of the day or night when I craved. (And he did not mind! Since he was getting himself one, too). I recently left NYC, to go to Texas & we can’t find anything CLOSE to our patacón spot. I’m back for a family emergency, and could not leave back to Texas without getting me one.
