Truly one of the worst service I had ever received and we weren’t even allowed inside. Since it was comic con weekend and after a long day of walking around two my friends were super hungry and I decided I needed to eat too since we didn’t have a chance to eat all day. My two friends really wanted to eat at planet Hollywood since they had the Tokyo Goul promotion going on. We went to the pop up store first. The guys working there were absolutely amazing!!!!! After my friends bought what they wanted we decided to go up to the restaurant side and see if we can a table for three. My friend went to the host asking if there’s anything available. The host immediately thought we were talking about the gift shop but when she clarified that we wanted to eat then things started taking a left turn here. The host asked us if we had reservations and we didn’t. Which was fine if we had to have reservations to get in at all beforehand we would have never tried for the night. However we never saw anything about that and I wish the host could have been straight up honest with us. Instead the host got immediately snarky and rude with us. Acting like he was better then us. My friend tried multiple times in the span of three minutes to see maybe if we could leave a phone number with them if that was possible. The host kept walking away trying to help other guest without an ounce of politeness or professionalism. No excuse me for a second I have to help out another party or I’m so sorry I have to take care of this real quick, or anything just straight up ignored us. My friend was starting to uncomfortable and frustrated at this point because no one out of the three of us weren’t trying to mean or anything, we just wanted a clear straight answer. We asked how long the wait time would be the host said it was 15 minutes and to just wait it out. We are in the middle of Times Square and there was nowhere to wait inside so that’s why we wanted to ask if could possibly leave a phone number and come back. After the fourth time the host left us I decided to step in and ask if I could leave my phone number instead for a party of 3. All he did was give me a nasty smirk trying to laugh it off saying these exact words “it’s a 15 minute wait maybe 30, just wait it out.” At this point I knew we weren’t welcomed at all and gave up and went back to the gift shop. (Again to those guys working the gift shop you are super cool). The host clearly gave off this big ego with the vibe that PLANET HOLLYWOOD (a chain that is just now reopening a few locations because they were struggling for years to serve frozen food) is this super exclusive club and we aren’t allowed in. I truly would not be writing this review up if there was a clear answer about getting in or not. We would of totally fine if we straight up told no and we would of completely understand instead of this just “wait it out”, smirking in our faces and the attitude. I hope to whoever the host was around 6:30 yesterday (10/11/25) is having a better day because I would hate to treat others the way you do like that on first impressions. It doesn’t make the restaurant look good if there’s attitude already at the door. Go to the hard rock instead, it’s still the same (chain with frozen food) place with ten times the service and the food...
Read moreWhat a poor experience tbh expect for the food. They acted like they were expecting so much business that they decided to sit everyone back to back and right next to each other, avoiding the booths, despite there being open tables. While we were ordering food, I let the server know what I wanted for dessert, and since it was a collab meal for Tokyo Ghoul, it was included with my meal which was ALREADY 30+ dollars. He said he would order it so they’d have it out by when we were done with our food. He did not put it in. We ordered two drinks no ice, and the garnish wasn’t included nor were we informed that they wouldn’t be in. I brushed it aside. Dessert time came and he asked what we wanted, and gave us two options. When I told him what I had told him before, he then said they were sold out. Why even ask then? And why wasn’t it put in while we eating. Not even five minutes later I see him zoom by us to a table that came in AFTER us with the said dessert we ordered that was supposedly sold out. I was then compensated with two of the other dessert, and even THAT was poorly executed. They had run out of materials, so rather than the sandwich being filled with cream and two strawberries, I got a slice of strawberry and no cream except for one sandwich, which had minimal cream and it was already spilling all over the plate. By the time dessert got to the table, we had been there for hours and my partner and I just paid and walked out. If I wasn’t so pissed I’d have taken a picture of the pathetic excuse of a compensation dessert. Never have I ever written a...
Read moreI’m personally giving it a four star overall and a three star on food only because of my meal. My boyfriend enjoyed his meal. Everything was good for him, but I had ordered the prime rib and it wasn’t to my liking.
It’s one of my favorite cuts of meat and ever since they stopped making it at Longhorn ive been looking for another inexpensive location and when I saw that they had it I’m like oh this is great.
They initially brought me the first prime rib, and it was more well done than I wanted. I told my server and sent it back and that’s when my server plus who I figured was the manager brought out a second one and when he took off the top, he asked me if that was better and it wasn’t.
I can see my boyfriend getting frustrated because we have a reservations to go bowl after and he had to go to work directly after bowling so every time they had to bring back my food, it was eating into our reservation time.
So I just told the manager it’s OK I’ll eat it. Everything’s fine. It was a lot of chewing and I didn’t enjoy it as much as I wanted to.
I know restaurants when it comes to steak always has the manager come out so that they can see you cut into it and make sure that it is the right temperature while staring you down that’s what happened to me at Ruth Chris, but I always find those interactions intimidating.
Other than that my server was great. The guy who first greeted us at the door was great. The atmosphere was very nice. I enjoyed the music selection. I just did not enjoy my meal. I’m just happy that my boyfriend...
