I work across the street from this Pokeworks and I’ve been longing for, what feels like years, it to open. I thought the day would never come and every day, my heart grew colder. By chance, I was walking by the other day to see if they were up-and-running and I happened upon their soft opening. WHAT? YES.
They invited me in and reacted as if I was a soldier who had just come home from war. Couldn’t have been a warmer welcome. My actual family doesn’t even greet me like that and my family is WARM. They then proceeded to run me down the options and, folks, they’ve got great options. You wanna know what they are? Look at their menu. I’m not gonna do all the work for you.
So, I built myself a bowl and every step of the way I felt like I was being taken care of. Cradled by their hospitality. Embraced by their service.
Bowl: made. As I left, I heard an ensemble of gorgeous voices shout “ALOHA!” from behind me. It echoed through my head. I knew it meant “goodbye” in this context but my brain twisted it into “hello” because I knew I’d be back soon.
I ran my food back across the street to stuff it in my face. And reader? It was amazing. Cracking that bowl open was like unwrapping a gift on Christmas. Fish was fresh as heck and the bowl was as expertly put together as I remembered. As I sat in the afterglow of this whole experience, it subconsciously solidified the fact that I will be going back to this Pokeworks every single day until my brain shuts down, the sun implodes or I run out of money.
A+ service. A+ food. I was gonna post a picture but I ate it too fast and forgot to...
Read moreI had a great experience at Pokeworks! Beyond the great food, the service at Pokeworks is exceptional. The employees Marvis and Alex were friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about the food and work. What truly elevated my visit to Pokeworks was the exceptional service provided by Marvis and Alex. From the moment I stepped in, their warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm created an inviting atmosphere. Marvis and Alex were not just employees; they were true ambassadors of hospitality, making me feel like a valued guest throughout my visit.
I tried both the chicken and tofu poke bowls. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned, while the tofu provided a nice plant-based protein option. Both bowls featured a base of flavorful sushi rice and were topped with crisp vegetables like corn, sweet onions, edamame, and for the garnishes I got seaweed, wasabi, and garlic crisps. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh and homemade sauces like their sriracha aioli and gochugang truly brought everything together.
In addition to the stellar poke bowls, I have to rave about Pokeworks' strawberry lemonade. It was the ideal balance of sweet and tart. The fresh strawberry flavor shone through and made it the perfect complement to my savory bowl.
Pokeworks executed on all fronts - delicious food with fresh ingredients, refreshing drinks and outstanding service. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant, especially if you're looking for a healthier take on fast casual cuisine. The poke bowls and lemonade are sure to satisfy. Thanks Pokeworks for the wonderful...
Read moreI've been going here for a while as I work nearby. I really enjoyed it, however the last couple of times the quality of the food has been slipping. When you're dropping close to 20 bucks for lunch, you don't want to be disappointed. I will say the service and the interior remain great. They are prompt, very friendly, and the place is spotless and well maintained.
I usually place my order online and go to pickup for lunch. One of my orders had been innaccurate with the wrong rice and the food being drenched in too much sauce or the wrong sauce? It tasted way off. On my last order, the rice was soggy and the size of the tuna/salmon seems to be shrinking. They used to be large and chunky cubes, now they're smaller, almost pea sized cubes. It didn't taste as good as it used to. I will say as a positive that they do put an ample amount of the items you request and I'm always fairly full from their bowls.
I know sometimes mistakes can be made, but my last couple of orders in a row have been sub par. Hope they can get back to form. When it's prepared correctly, it's quite tasty and fills that...
