The best Indian food I have ever had in the US so far. It’s been 25 years that I have been living in the US (I have lived in 13 different states by now) but never had such tasty and homely food. I have very high standards for North Indian food by the way since I come from Delhi (I am cook extensively at my own home). I would highly encourage (& request) everyone to come here and blindly order anything. I have visited this place three times in two weeks and every time I just feel more confident ordering anything off their menu without a doubt. The menu is not only extensive but also very healthy & affordable. I absolutely love-love-love this place! Items I have tried so far that I can blindly recommend anyone- 1. Panner Bhurji 2. Kadhi 3. Baingan Bharta 4. Kofta 5. Roti — the absolute star of the show. Their rotis are so soft that even a toothless person could eat them. This explains… 6. Last but not the least—Chai. You can’t find the chai they make anywhere on the whole subcontinent. The only equally nice chai I have ever had was in Old Delhi years ago. Not exaggerating my experience here. I am genuinely so happy to have found a place that has the most homely & delicious food possible. Plus the owners are so-so-so welcoming. Their hospitality & care will remind you of India:”) I genuinely want this place to flourish and get the attention and praise it deserves! PS. They give 15% discount to students!

Desi Stop and Deli is a fantastic spot for affordable and delicious Indian and Punjabi food. The homemade taste really stands out, especially with their soft, fresh rotis that feel like they’re straight from a home kitchen. Their platters, priced around $13, are the best deal, including 2 vegetarian curries, 2 rotis, and rice—a perfect, satisfying meal. Occasionally, they also offer free sweet dishes like Rasmalai or Kheer, depending on the size of your order, which is a delightful touch. Every dish is flavorful, though the salt can be a little less sometimes, but it’s easy to adjust. The staff is warm, welcoming, and respectful, making the experience even better. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic, homemade Indian food!

Food: so good I didn’t take any photos of the actual food 😅. The Channa, and okra and paneer so fresh! Everything is house made, never frozen, or premade. And you can taste the difference and love in the food made and served here. Portions are big and plentiful as well. BUT the BEST part of this place is the owners! So friendly and patient. I asked a billion questions about the menu and he patiently explained everything and made recommendations. His recommendation was delicious and I will definitely be back!

Absolutely Incredible Vegetarian Indian Food – A Must Visit!

I’ll preface this with I have eaten Indian food on every continent except Antarctica.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant — it’s easily one of the best Indian vegetarian spots I’ve ever been to. The food is packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and made with obvious care and authenticity.

We ordered several dishes across the menu, and everything was top-notch. The Paneer Tikka was grilled to perfection — smoky, tender, and full of rich flavor. The Soya Chaap was a surprise favorite: hearty, protein-rich, and incredibly satisfying. If you’re trying to eat high-protein vegetarian, this place has you covered.

The Paneer Tikka Wrap and Tandoori Wrap were delicious and filling, making them perfect for a meal on the go. The Paranthas (especially the Hara Bhara Paneer version) are some of the best I’ve had — flaky, flavorful, and served with yogurt, butter, and pickles that tied everything together beautifully.

Their curries are absolutely bursting with flavor. I highly recommend the Palak Paneer and Paneer Makhni — they strike a perfect balance of spices and richness. The Dal Tadka and Black Channa were also comforting and wholesome.

Drinks and desserts were a treat. The Mango Lassi was fresh and creamy, and the Masala Chai had just the right spice kick. For dessert, the Kheer and Rasmalai were both indulgent and beautifully done — a perfect way to end the meal.

Service was warm and welcoming. Staff were knowledgeable and attentive without ever being overbearing. The ambiance is clean, family-friendly, and relaxed, and the menu is extensive but not overwhelming.

Prices are very reasonable given the generous portions and quality of food. Whether you’re vegetarian or just love good Indian cuisine, this place is a gem.

Highly, highly recommend. I’ll be coming...

Absolutely terrible from start to finish. I don’t even know where to begin, but let’s start with the fact that walking into this place felt like stepping into a time warp where customer service and quality food no longer exist.

The food? Bland, overcooked, and honestly, questionable. I’ve had better meals from a frozen dinner. Portions were tiny for the price, and the presentation looked like someone just threw it on the plate as an afterthought. As for taste? Nonexistent. It was like eating cardboard, if cardboard were soggy and tasteless. Had worst Indian Food

Service? An absolute joke. The staff acted like they were doing me a favor by even acknowledging my presence. Slow, rude, and completely disinterested. I waited forever for my food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold. Not that it mattered—because cold or hot, it was disgusting.

The atmosphere? Dark, dingy, and uncomfortable. Tables were not there, and the noise level made it impossible to enjoy any conversation. The whole place just felt dirty, like it hadn’t been cleaned properly in months.

Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. Total waste of...
