Lily Foot Spa Massage — Local services in New York

So it was my second time at this place. Massage was really good and the ladies work professionally. But all experience was destroyed when massage was finished. I had massage for 85 dollars and left a tip 10 dollars. I am not from the states and in my country we leave 10 percent for good service. The lady at the entrance showed me paper (which is not there when you enter of course, and not mentioned anywhere, not in price list, not on their site) with tips menu where it says that for 85 dollars massage its 15 dollars minimum tip. I asked her why this paper was not there on a table when I entered, why it’s not mentioned anywhere in price list, not at the entrance? She just smiled at me and pretended she doesn’t understand English. Honestly it’s not about additional 5 dollars, it’s about how you treat clients , I felt fooled and felt in am not in New York , but on the suburbs of another country where they say you one price and charge you different in the end and smile. For the future , either mention in the price list that tip 10 percent is mandatory, or just...

Went in for a massage today and will not be returning. I did the one hour body massage and was disappointed in the quality. For at least five minutes straight my masseuse ran her hands down my back with practically no pressure. My lower back was hardly touched, and she spent less than three minutes on my shoulders. She also left in the middle of my massage to go answer a question. When I went to pay, I thought the $4 upcharge for using card was a bit ridiculous but okay. I had a little cash so I handed her a tip which was less than 20% on purpose, because she didn't do a very good job. She then asked for a larger tip which is incredibly unprofessional.

The facilities themselves were noisy, especially disruptive when someone comes in the door. The soft music was interrupted by an advertisement that sounded like an action movie with cars and explosions which completely took me out of the moment. I've gotten much better massages for less money in other parlors...

The best place in the city for an affordable massage! I’ve been a repeat customer of theirs for numerous visits at this point, and every massage therapist and every massage I’ve had has been amazing.

It’s true that the walls between the rooms and the office leave some space and so you can get some background noise, but it’s NYC! And the price of the massage more than makes up for any other sound.

I also really like how every massage comes with hot stone treatment! Some of the therapists will ask if you’d like them to stand on your back and use their feet to massage part of your back, SUPER DO IT. I was skeptical at first, but it actually feels so relaxing and really helped release some tension I kept there.
