First of all I want to state how much I loved the idea of this place. Live and spooky entertainment, dinner and fun horror drinks, oh and did I mention the atmosphere?! So amazing. Like the best part honestly. This bar is clutch or will be after some adjusting.

Now don't take this personally but I just spent over 300 Canadain to have a disappointing dinner and a drink with my friend.

This is such an extremely fun and inspiring idea, however, the poor food quality, disapointing drinks, extra hidden costs, (18% gratuity automatically added( which I can respect but asking for more after is just ridiculous)) the tight quarters so you're basically sitting with strangers listening to all their stories, woes and qualms. Omg don't even get me started on the washrooms which were dreadfully awful to say the least. I watched a table get up and leave and another table talk about leaving if they didn't get served right away. I wanted to take home a shot glass but didn't want a shot. I was charged 10$ for the glass but if it came with a shot it was 12$ ? So 2$ for alcohol? I wish I just ordered a full shot at that price point.

The drinks were mediocre. They added too much dry ice or whatever so they bubbled alot but it really affected taste of the last half of the drink. The food was meh. 60$ for a 3 course meal but added extra costs for the steak (7$) and I ordered a side which didn't clearly state another fee. Charge 75$ each and give your people something amazing. My appetizer was send back because I couldn't cut through the bread but it came back basically the same anyways.. sad. The service was slow in the begining then rushed to get us out and nothing in-between. This was not 100% what I was expecting. I was really looking forward to coming here and this was supposed to be a big highlight of my trip.

The live actors do not disappoint however! They are talented and fun. Lydia was phenomenal and Jack and Sally were so cute and they rocked the part. This and the ambiance really are the winners in this place. I wish I could give 5 stars for these two reasons.

I want to give this a raving review, as I love everything halloween, 90s, emo, metal and horror movies however there is alot to do to amplify the entire experience.

I don't want to get a rude comment or backlash from the owner so please don't take this anyway but constructive criticism. I respect your staff, establishment and position I just wanted to give my thoughts as I couldn't locate the bartender and the server seemed overwhelmed with multiple new tables. We took our desert to go as we waited 25mins to make our dessert order. The pumpkin cheesecake was delicious but the chocolate cake was very dry.

If I am mistaken please accept my apologies I just wanted to express my honest opinion and experience.

Happy forever halloween 🎃 I hope my next visit will...

I have quite a few thoughts and opinions about this spot, so let me break it off into some categories.

Atmosphere 3.5/5 I loved the look of the bar, and I loved the decor. I think the art on the wall and the pieces they added to make it very Halloween-esque were great. However, and it's unfortunately, the way the space is built, but it is extremely narrow at BeetleHouse. Essentially, they have a wall separator that separates the bar from the dining area, and it makes it so very hard for both people and actors alike to walk up and down.

There is also a little back room area and when the actors go over there, if you are in the front, you can't see what they're performing. You just hear them singing. And vice versa. I feel like that takes away from the experience because of the way the area is built. They also encourage exploring, but it's kind of hard to when people are eating right in front of the thing you want to see, and it's already narrow as it is.

Actors 4.5/5 The actors were so exceptional and honestly, they really did work with what they had. The makeup was great, the singing was good, but what really made it where the individual interactions they did with people at the tables. It was my cousin's birthday and Beetlejuice in the most Beetlejuice way took pictures with us. Lydia and Emily from corpse bride was there that day and they were cutting his ass the whole time, which was hilarious honestly, what went against them is the fact that the house is built the way it is. But they did what they could!

Food 4/5 I read mixed reviews about the food so I didn't have high expectations when I got there. Now, I do think it is quite expensive, but you also need to remember you're paying for dinner and a show essentially, so the prefix menu makes sense. As for the food itself, I had the mac & cheese, the Bolognese, and a chocolate cake. The Bolognese was OK, I could've done for more meat and sauce, but when I ate it the next day for leftovers with grated Parmesan cheese, for some reason, it was so much better! The chocolate cake was a bit too much and too chocolatey for me, but that's just my opinion. The mac & cheese, however, FIRRRRRREEEEEE. That was some of the creamiest mac & cheese I've ever had. I did not expect the mac & cheese to be so damn good, but if I worked there, that would be the only thing I'd ever eat all the time and I'd turn into a mac & cheese ball.

Overall -I'd say, if you are curious, totally go at least once. I had a great experience, and I think, though the bar does sound like it plays on a gimmick, they do a really good job of making it a true...

Silly, fun times! Took my Mom here on a visit to the city. I love the decor, the entertainers were a lot of fun and really into their characters. They all sang and did meet and greet to every customer. We had Beetlejuice, Uncle Fester, and Wednesday. Beetlejuice's tummy was cracking me up. Uncle Fester electrocuted himself and had his light bulb. We enjoyed Wednesday's dance and she sang Beck's Loser in a very entertaining way. My Mom had the chocolate martini. She said it was good, just too much whipped cream filling up the glass. I had the Beetle's Juice made with vodka instead of Tequila. It was perfectly mixed, so I had two! I chose the Boogie's Braised Bacon for my appetizer. It was a small piece of pork belly over grits but it was tasty. My Mom had the jambalaya risotto. There was a small issue that was quickly remedied. For dinner I had the Beetlehouse NYC Burger and fries. It was alright. I wish I had ordered my mom's meal - she had the Sweeney Beef, which was a filet mignon over garlic mashed potatoes. She ordered it medium and it was a bit too medium rare right in the middle, but otherwise, delicious. It has an upcharge, but definitely worth it, it was so good. She had the Just Like Heaven for dessert. It has a lot, a lot of berries. We wanted to get a few shirts as souvenirs, but most of the sizes were sold out, even on the website unfortunately. Also, it is very dark and you must view the menu on your phone. I suggest taking a look before you arrive so you're ready and don't have to do the whole phone menu thing. Overall, we had a lovely time and I look forward to visiting the LA location as well. I definitely recommend going here for something different and fun. Reservations fill up quickly but they do accept walk-ins if there is room. If you can't get a reservation, I suggest going as early as you can. They open at 4pm. We arrived without a reservation (although we were on waitlist) and were quickly seated. The bar only has a few seats. Just make your reservation well in advance as they are not open everyday. The host, our server, the food expediters, and the bussers were all very nice and did a good job as well. Thanks...
