With great pride and appreciation, we congratulate Mr. Omar Al-Omari on receiving a Certificate of Recognition for his outstanding coffee shop, Qahwah House, located in the heart of Manhattan, New York. Through his unique vision and passion for authentic Yemeni coffee, he has shown that quality and creativity pave the way to true excellence. Thanks to his dedication and hard work, Qahwah House has become one of the most renowned and respected coffee shops in the Broadway area, serving as a proud ambassador of Yemen’s rich heritage. We wish him continued success and leadership for many years to come.

In a special conversation with Mr. Omar Al-Omari, we learned more about his journey with coffee:

• How long have you been working in coffee? Around four years.

• Did you know about coffee before starting your business? Yes, I knew about it very well.

• Do your parents love coffee? Yes, both my mother and father love coffee deeply.

• Does your whole family work in coffee? No, I am the only one in my family who works in coffee.

• Is coffee your most important project? Absolutely, it’s the most important thing in my life.

• How would you describe coffee in your own words? Coffee is a treasure, and that treasure grows on trees — meaning the treasure is the coffee bean itself.

• Will you continue and become a major businessman in coffee? Yes, and I plan to be a coffee entrepreneur with other future projects in this field.

• Did you face challenges when opening your first business? Yes, it was difficult at first, but as the days passed I got used to it, and it became easier — thanks to the help of my cousin.

• Who is by your side now? My cousin Ahmed is by my side. Ahmed is like a brother to me, very dear to my heart. We are partners in the same project, united as one, and we will raise the level of the shop higher and higher.

It was an honor speaking with Omar today and discovering his deep passion for coffee. For him, coffee is more than a drink — it’s a message, a culture, and a legacy. We wish him endless success and for the aroma of fresh Yemeni coffee to continue filling his shop for many...

I live just around the corner from Qahwah House and was thrilled to see it moving into the long-abandoned storefront of the mysterious Shaking Crab (a restaurant I never actually saw open). My boyfriend and I would often walk home late at night and see the Qahwah House staff working tirelessly to get the place ready for its grand opening. Once they opened their doors, I’d pass by occasionally and was always greeted by a friendly staff member standing outside, offering samples of their super sweet “refresher” drinks. My boyfriend and I would always take a sample and say to each other, “We really need to try this place.”

Today, we finally did—and Qahwah House did NOT disappoint. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed with a sample of their rich and flavorful chai. While sipping our chai, we took in the ambiance and were impressed by the attention to detail in the interior design; the place has a great vibe. When we got to the register, we asked for a recommendation on what pastry to try. The staff member suggested the Khaliat Alnahl and offered to warm it up for us, which we gladly accepted. My boyfriend also decided to try the dragon fruit refresher. We made our way to the back to sit down, and while waiting for our pastry, I couldn’t help but notice the pleasant acoustics—you couldn’t hear conversations from the other tables, which I imagine is why so many people choose Qahwah House as a study spot.

When our food arrived, the staff surprised us with a complimentary serving of Sabaya, another one of their signature pastries. Both pastries were served with delicious honey, and I would highly recommend getting them warmed up. The Sabaya was my favorite—honestly, it’s the best dessert in the area, far better than what you’ll find at the Hungarian Pastry Shop. I can’t wait to return for more of that warm, decadent,...

If you're looking for an exceptional coffee experience that blends warmth, authenticity, and top-notch service, look no further than Qahwah House. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee, an inviting ambiance, and a team of staff that makes you feel like family.

The first thing that stands out is the quality of their coffee. Whether you're a fan of traditional Arabic coffee or prefer something a bit more modern like cold brew or cappuccinos, Qahwah House delivers every time. Their beans are meticulously sourced, and the flavors are deep and rich—perfectly balanced for every palate. You can taste the care that goes into each cup, whether it's brewed to perfection or crafted with beautiful latte art.

The atmosphere of the place is equally impressive. The decor strikes a perfect balance between traditional elegance and modern comfort. Whether you're coming in for a quiet morning or meeting friends for a catch-up, Qahwah House creates the perfect setting to relax and unwind. The ambiance is cozy yet sophisticated, with soft lighting and comfortable seating that make you want to linger a little longer with your cup of coffee.

What really sets Qahwah House apart, however, is their exceptional service. The staff here are genuinely attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They’re happy to help guide you through the menu, recommending specialty drinks or offering the perfect pairing with one of their mouthwatering pastries. The attention to detail in both the service and the drinks themselves is second to none.

Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or just someone looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a drink, Qahwah House is a must-visit. It’s a true gem that elevates the coffee experience to new heights. Highly...
