I don’t have any complaints about the food. Additionally, I have had no problems with other employees, who have always been friendly with me. However, the short girl with black spots on her face doesn’t know how to behave with customers. She was totally rude and didn’t know what to say and what not to say. She behaves like she is the boss, but I don’t think so.
I wanted a samosa, but she didn’t listen to me properly as she was talking with someone else on the phone. I told her 3-4 times, but there was no response, so I didn’t bother to tell her again. After I finished my food, I told her that I had asked for a samosa, and she was like, "No, you haven’t told me."
I also told her that she was on the phone, so how could she have listened to me? She denied being on the phone and said I should have called her, but I pointed out that she was screaming and talking on her phone. If there is a customer, how could she not listen and prioritize her phone conversation? I couldn't even understand what she was speaking as the language was different.
This is so disappointing. With this type of employee, the business will go down. I will never come to this shop again where customers are not valued.
I hope the management addresses this issue to improve the customer service...
Read moreWhen you are in Jackson Heights you can find plenty of "desi" food but only thing that you can't find is Halal Steak. Today while walking on the streets of this area, I saw a new sign of Shahi Darbar. As a person who is always open to try new food and love to appreciate new business, I decided to go in. I must say that as soon I entered I felt very welcome and gentleman at the counter was extremely pleasant which is rare sight in this area. First thing that caught my eyes was fresh steaks lined up. I ordered two right away. My second surprise was when the chef asked me how would I like my steaks? I knew that these guys know what they're doing. I also ordered lamb chops and while waiting I decided to try a chicken samosa that the best that I ever had in Jackson Height. Due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic I had to take my food home. The gentleman offered me a chicken patties for free as well which was extremely nice. After having the food at home I must say that entire food was extremely delicious and fresh. The best part was that it didn't have tons of salt and you can literally taste the food, not just spice and salt. Guys please give them a try if you're in the area. These are very courageous people who decided to open a new business in these toughest time. Wish you...
Read moreSummary: First time there. Although, very unhappy with their decision to replace an out of stock item. I wish I was asked my options than the restaurant making the decision for me. The food I ordered was good. Their substituted item, I didn't like it. Service was friendly.
I was trying this spot for the first time. I am a fan of Indian food like the chicken rice and samosas, unfortunately this place were out of the samosas in which I ordered 4, the counter person was nice and said he had packed a replacement 4 of something else that I was unsure of the food and asked what it was, when I got home it was 4 circle pancakes something I never tried, not what I was expecting, gave my family and they didn't like it either after taking one bite, that it went to waste. other food that I ordered was great though like the platters and lassi, it was good and not spicy. And the people there were nice
however a bit disappointed of the stores replacement, I wish they had given me an option of a refund for the out of stock items which was $5.96 or asked me if I'd like something else that costs around that price before making their own suggestion because I would have preferred another mango lassi instead of wasting the food and my money on a substituted item that I...
