Tucked into a busy corner on 3rd Avenue, Slice Pizza is the kind of no-frills neighborhood spot that defines New York’s Halal pizza scene. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with the smell of fresh dough, bubbling cheese, and that perfect hint of char from the oven.

If you’re in the mood for something extra, their pepperoni slice and Buffalo chicken isa standout, with its thin crust and rich tomato flavor, is a must-try.

The man behind the counter was friendly and polite, but the pizza wasn’t great. I got the meat lovers which only had two meats on it. It was pretty greasy which I generally don’t mind, but this was too much. There wasn’t enough sauce and I didn’t like the dough.

The space is really small with just a little counter to stand at if you don’t want to get it to go. You could never walk with this pizza. You would get grease all over you.

My son loved the cheese pizza, but then again his taste in pizza is questionable. Again, really...
