Taste of Italy Pizza Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

This place is a cut above your typical counter service pizza place. Good, tasty sauce, cheese and toppings, and crust that is crispy on the bottom with a little bit of char. My son had a pepperoni slice (I took a few bites). I had the "Hot & Cold Salad", which was delicious: rolls of crispy, fried eggplant, and slices of sautéed zucchini and onions (the hot) with spring mix, tomato, carrot, etc., topped with a nice dressing of balsamic, oil and herbs. I was quite pleasantly surprised.

I am forced to eat at pizza-by-the-slice places often, due to the restrictive dietary preferences of my 5-year-old, but the salads and other foods at these places tend to be marginal at best. I really enjoy it when I can find a place that serves some healthier dishes and cares about the quality of these less frequently ordered items. I have yet to try other items on the menu at Taste of Italy, but I'd be willing to bet they do them well. There was one guy behind the counter, making all the food, running the cash register, etc. He was super busy, but really friendly and seemed to enjoy making sure everyone's food came out nice and tasty.

11/11/21 @11:25am I entered this place to order a slice and a chicken roll. Sat at the table waiting for my food a one of the guys came from behind the counter to assist an elderly customer. This man moved the table that I was sitting at to eat my food put it on the other side of the room and move the other table that was next to were I was sitting for that elder to sit leaving me without a table to eat my food. I got no excuse me nor did he ask if I'm using this table, nothing. I express how disrespectful this was and he sucked his teeth. I continued to express myself being very disrespected as I'm walking out is when he say sorry. I did not deserve this treatment especially when I enjoy their food . The owner over charged me for my order on purpose today. He did this once before and I let it go but not today. I gave him my credit card number and he didn't tell me how much he charged me. When the delivery boy delivered my food he had a check with my address and my credit card information but not how much he charged me. There were no prices of how much each item was. I called the store and they gave me the run around. They didn't tell me how much they charged me. I had to look at my on line banking to see they charged me 33.34 I added each item up and came to 23.00 and he charged me 33.34. When I called him back he made up all lies and was very guilty.
