No Table isn't just a deli; it's a culinary journey through the vibrant flavors of Jamaica fused with the hustle and bustle of New York City. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warmth and a passion for food that's truly infectious.
The owners and team are the heart and soul of No Table, and their love for flavor shines through in every dish they create. Despite the fast pace of New York City life, they ensure that each item leaving their kitchen is made with care and attention to detail.
During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of sampling some of their signature dishes, and I must say, I was blown away. The Vybez Burger, a smash burger topped with jerk chicken and mango coleslaw, was a flavor explosion that left me craving more. The Jammin sandwich, with jack cheese, pineapple, and jerk chicken, was equally delightful, combining sweet and savory in perfect harmony.
For a taste of Jamaica with a New York twist, the Jamaican Me Crazy Sandwich is a must-try, featuring chopped jerk chicken, coleslaw, and thousand island dressing. And let's not forget their mouthwatering Jerk Chicken Empanadas, a perfect snack for any time of day.
No Table doesn't just stop at sandwiches and snacks; they also serve hot plate food daily, offering a tantalizing array of Jamaican and American fusion dishes that are sure to satisfy any craving.
With their convenient 6 am opening time, No Table is the perfect spot to kickstart your day with a breakfast platter made fresh to order in true New York time. From pancakes to bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches, their breakfast menu has something for everyone.
And for those craving something cold and refreshing, their cold cut sandwiches are equally delicious and satisfying.
Overall, my experience at No Table was nothing short of fantastic. The service was impeccable, the food was top-notch, and the love and passion that went into every dish were palpable. I'll definitely be returning, and I encourage anyone in the Astoria area to...
Read moreThis is the kind of food I was looking for, in moving to NYC. My husband and I stopped in yesterday after an appointment in the area and we were so impressed.
The space is small, well decorated/designed, and very clean. The menu feels a bit overwhelming at first but once you kind of settle in and look at all the options, it's perfect, there is a lot to choose from.
We split a jerk chicken platter, a beef patty, and an oxtail empanada. The platter was PACKED in, there was so much food I wasn't sure how they got the top on! The chicken was perfectly cooked, moist, flavorful, and there was plenty of it. The rice, beans, and greens were perfect as well and added even more flavor. The beef patty was very good- we've had a few others from other places that were just lackluster and dry but not here, it was soft, warm, and seasoned just right. It was our first time trying oxtail- and I'm already looking forward to getting more of it. The empanada was hot and crispy, the oxtail was tender and just melted with each bite.
There are a lot of drink options to choose from in the cooler (a whole wall!), and there are also some coffee/tea options on the menu.
Prices are extremely reasonable, well worth every penny.
There is no seating, but a nice table right outside that you can snag if you're lucky. We were given plenty of napkins and utensils, but you might want to bring some wet wipes just to be safe!
Service was so fast and good! I went outside to keep place at the table, but my husband really enjoyed the conversation he had inside.
We absolutely can't wait to come back to try some more. We have another appointment in the same area tomorrow and have already decided we've got to swing by to support and get some more good eats! We hope this place is in the neighborhood for...
Read moreDry, tasteless, unseasoned, old tasting, nothing like the pictures, no parking. My co workers and I ordered from this place and we all threw the food in the garbage after two bites. We had the la bum, the jam rock, jerk chicken meal, curry chicken meal, and the chopped cheese. Everything was trash and we were disappointed and surprised by the droves of ppl ordering from this place. It’s close to schools and a hospital so I guess the ppl have no choice. Notable is in a prime location for business and is notably overrated. This was my first time eating Jamaican food with no flavor no thyme, no allspice, no salt, no pepper. This food is so low vibrational my body physically rejected it. It was like I was feeding myself poison. You can taste the old oil the food was fried in. The chicken cutlet had no chicken and the mozzarella sticks had no mozzarella, the bacon was the worst I’d ever tasted and the onion rings were triple fried to disgusting. We will never return to Notable, bad eats, no seats….. it was a real waste of time, money, gas and...
