It's a very frigid Saturday night here in Astoria. Through Instagram, my wife found out about this new spot that opened up here in Astoria. Since we both didn't want to cook, we figured why not give it a try. No regrets! We walked in and it was quite a tiny and narrow place. They were up front about not taking any more orders for pies because they were behind on their current orders. So we decided to try out some slices they had on display. After maybe a few minutes of reheating the slices, we paid and were good to go. Have to point out here that the slices are each $5. For pizza, that's definitely above average. I'm of the view that if they pay their workers a living wage, then it's a fair price. Hopefully they are doing so. The slices we got were very delicious. It's a thin crust style, and they really nailed it in terms of how crunchy it is and the flavor. The cheeses and toppings work very well together. My favorite was the veggie slice with mushrooms, onions, sharp cheese and balsamic, since the cheese had an incredibly sharp flavor. Definitely tip my hat off to this place trying to make it during the pandemic. And recommend others come check it out!

After reading all of the reviews on Bellucci Pizza, I was more than stoked to try this place. In terms of the tastes, textures, and quality of ingredients, this is hands-down the best pizza joint in Astoria (and all of Queens) and it's not even close. Ordered the Vodka-Roni and Veggie Royale pies. Crust/sauce/cheese/toppings...just amazing. Although my delivery experience wasn't ideal, I really want to get the word out on this place, because it is LEGIT. Bellucci's delivery is available only through their website. Unfortunately for me, it took over two hours and when I called a few times to get a status update, no one ever picked up, which was a bummer. Despite all that, I'll cut them some slack given they just opened up and were probably bombarded with the Friday night rush. I can't wait to try the other pies and will absolutely order from here again soon. The pizza is just way too good. In the end, I'm just happy to see that with everything awful going on in the world today, there's a new gem in the neighborhood to give us all a little slice of joy.

People, this is *the real deal.* Compare it with Patsy's, Lombardi's or Joe's. That's how "real deal" I mean. Bellucci is easily the best slice in Astoria and a contender for best pizza in all of New York City. Worth the trip if you're not in Astoria and a straight up CRIME if you live here and haven't walked over to say hi to Mr. Bellucci, who lives in the area and has a storied history in New York pizza, himself. I've been in the neighborhood for 9 years and have been waiting for a slice like this to finally arrive. It's crispy, it's chewy, it's flavorful, it's foldable. And that's just the crust. The sauce has a nice kick to it without being spicy or too sweet, cheese is all very high quality including a margarita slice with fresh mozz that somehow doesn't end up too wet or soggy as so many others do. Toppings are well cooked on the slice, meaning real thought was put into it. This is pizza, perfected. Do yourself a favor and get the vodka roni slice but even the margarita was excellent.

I'm just going to come out of the gate with saying that this is the best pie you can get in Astoria...straight up. Early prediction that every food blogger in NYC puts this on a "Top Pizza in NYC!" list by the end of 2021. I don't care that at the time of me I'm writing this they aren't even technically open yet, I'm not taking back. They fully open come the New Year!

I was extremely excited to see that a new pizza spot was opening right under our building and when I saw they were doing a soft opening I went in to check it out. Astoria has some pretty good pizza, but none that'll really "WOW" you. Until now. I already know I don't have the self-control to stay away from this place for longer than a week.

I've always been a believer that you get what you pay for in the pizza game. This place is no exception. We got a fresh pie to-go, half plain and half veggie, it was $29. When I saw this thing come out of the oven I was immediately excited. The cheese...the sauce...magnificent. The thin, perfectly crisp crust...BANGING. The vegetables they used were all fresh and you can immediately tell of very high quality. They finish their pies with freshly grated Parmesan and black pepper...I mean come on.

Even better, they have an entire vegan menu for when I'm pretending that I can actually to stay away from dairy. Jokes aside, the vegan slice I tried had vegan sausage and pepperoni. It was surprisingly good and I HATE vegan cheese.

They also have a whole menu full of specialty 12" metropolitan pies. I'll probably have to try them all...you know, for science.

Oh, and how could I forget the homemade hot sauce...ask for the...

I have been going to this pizzeria since the day they opened the owners a very lovely man, and the pizza is usually always the best. … However, when ordering on the phone and or on the weekends when the owner is not there, the staff does not give two flying 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽 About service or quality. Sometimes they shut down early and won’t take orders more than 30 minutes before closing or they’ll send you the wrong pie even hang up the phone on you when you call them to tell them what they have done wrong.

I ordered a vodka Ronnie and they sent me a margarita . I called to let them know and after 3 words, they hung up . It was 10 pm on the dot ( the time that they close). It was clear they don’t GAF.

I will be going there to let the owner know about his weekend staff, and that he’s lost my very loyal customer business.

🚨UPDATE🚨 I notified the owner and he took corrective action. The problem was fixed and now I can enjoy my favorite pizzeria again. Being from BK originally I take my pizza seriously and this is the only place in Astoria that makes me feel like I’m getting real Brooklyn style pizza . The owner is a lovely family man and I adore him and this restaurant. I’m happy to update this review with honesty and ...
