Although cici who did my nails was fantastic and extremely nice, her colleague, Amanda was extremely RUDE and was YELLING/rushing me out because i was trying to find the powder color that matched my hands;which they did not have!!! It was not only rude but discriminatory to only rush me out of the 2 other (white) customers who were still not done with getting their nails done. She did not have to say what she said to me because i was a paying customer who did more than a regular pedi/mani. Overall, my gel mani pedi is layered too thick and still sticky because i was being rushed since my appt from 6:15pm. One star is for AMANDA uncivilized behavior. Also, the previous time with an appointment, i had to wait an hour but when it’s their time, they rush “certain” customers out. Disgusting behavior from fellow minorities. Again, why was i the only one being rushed out while there were other non poc taking their time?! Your reply proves your excuses and bias. Also, update on the overall gel mani, one week and it’s already chipped. This was my third time at Queen A Nail, which is why i can confirm, i had terrible experience with the mani/pedis every time but it took the third time of uncivil behavior for me to finally speak out. If you’re racist, then there is no other response than an apology but here we are with you trying to justify your disgusting behavior. Your reply just proves poor...
Read moreI usually don’t write reviews, but I feel like I had to. My service was fine. It was the overall atmosphere that caused me not to come back.
I got my nails done right before Halloween. I wanted to get my acrylics taken off and have a fresh set put on. I was expecting a formal soak off, but the shop owner just jammed acrylic tips under my overlay and just popped it off, which isn’t good for the overall health of the nail, and which ultimately ended up tearing one of my nails. No apology or acknowledgment was made about my bleeding nail. He still proceed to put new overlay on top of my now split and bleeding nail.
In addition, he smacked his lips and rolled his eyes whenever I showed him the colors I wanted for my French tip (the nails were meant to match my Halloween costume) and when I asked him if it would be possible to make the tips thicker in size. In addition, I witnessed the shop owner and another employee make fun of a customer who was simply asking if they would be able to execute the nail art in the picture shown to them.
The rude nature of the employees made me feel uncomfortable. No customer wants to feel judged for a service they are PAYING for. Self care should be relaxing and unfortunately, it didn’t feel so at this salon. There are so many other great places in the...
Read moreI really liked this place. I’ve gotten powder gel extensions here and they were nice and lasted a month with no chips and still kept their gloss. Their gel manicures and pedicures were also great and lasted a long time. The prices weren’t that high especially considering the quality but I am unfortunately reconsidering returning because of a few things. The way a few of the nail techs remove the powder extensions was very rough and abrasive. The correct way is to remove the top coat with a file or drill and then soak off. They would often cut and pry the fake nail off my real nails in a very rough way that left my nails very brittle and was painful in the process too. While the correct way takes longer, this method can cause damage or even hurt someone with more delicate skin and nails. The last time I went, while I was getting my manicure done the manager begins yelling at my nail tech and a few of the other employees in front of the customers. While this is embarrassing for the employees (the tech working on me was getting visibly upset) it was also uncomfortable to be around. I do not want to continue visiting a place where management is comfortable berating their employees in front of customers, even though the work here...
