Today: The angry guy working refuses to give me foam on the top!!! I am a chef, and the reason i ask for foam as it creates a different texture which makes the matcha creamier and fluffier… Any cafe in NY will make your coffees or matcha any way you ask! For $7.50 for 1 drink, why does this guy refuse to do matcha the way you ask! Please chat with him ~ as i am sure it is not company policy to refuse and be rude to a customer who politely asks for their beverage to be prepared a certain way! Your matcha is delicious ~ his service is despicable

Yesterday The girls working gave me foam on top! How hard is it?? Thank you ladies! Always polite and kind!!

Today: I went in for an iced Matcha, just like yesterdays delicious matcha ~ The cashier was quite rude when he said no foam on iced matcha’s ~ i said i got one yesterday! He said well, we will can do it today but not again!!! I said just give me a hot matcha, and can i have the foam in it??? He said quite rudely, yes. So i had to walk home and get ice and make my matcha iced with foam !!! Horrible way to run the business ~ $7.75 for a matcha, i think you can add the foam cold or hot!!! Please talk to your staff… if you want returning guests. I also bought terribly overpriced bracelets!! 3 for $50 but i needed a quick gift, so i got 3~! They should be $10 each not $20 each. Funny how things change in a day. Plenty of matcha & coffee cafes on every block in NY.

That’s a truly nice coffee shop. True New York style venue to sip some coffee and read a book or work by laptop. Not much space to be seated, however, I never miss a chance to drop in while in Greenwich Village when it is cold and I need some flavor of warmth and coziness. Coffee is fine, nothing special, it’s just ok. I like it. Pastries are not that numerous, but good. Overall, this is good coffee shop to pay a visit. I like to spend there my time working over a notebook or reading even if it’s crowded there. This noise does not bother me at all. The only thing that I didn’t like is that it’s personnel is not smiley at all. Well, i got used that people that work in coffee shops like places always greet you when you enter. I have been twice and felt disappointed each time, the place is very nice looking, no doubt . But the coffee was not good at all and expensive, more than other coffee shops in the neighborhood. I ordered a cappuccino today that looked liked a muddy puddle of water, not like a cappuccino, I had to force myself to drink it because i really wanted coffee. The barista seemed overwhelmed and not very friendly, I can understand, everyone has a bad day, but at least try to hide it if you are working in the service industry. The lid I received closed my cup but was too small and it spilled on my shirt. Anyway the only reason I went is because they were open after 4 pm and I really wanted coffee but I won't go back.
