One of the worst services I’ve ever encountered in my life!! so I called the establishment before I headed there because I know they are usually busy on Wednesdays when they have $.69 wings but guess what it’s not $.69 anymore it’s 87 . They also didn’t include it in the menu but anyways So I had spoken to someone over the phone asking them. What’s an ideal time to get to the establishment before it starts getting busy? so I can watch the Knicks game/ Secure a table and they told me to come 6:30 so I did. When I went there me and my four buddies we were still waiting on one more person to come so I told the guy who stands there. I’m guessing he’s a manager or the owner that we’re still waiting for one more person and the game starts at seven and we got there 630 so we just hung out for a bit and just waited for the game to start to place an order so we can eat while watching the game once the game starts the manager/ Owner comes up to us very and passive aggressively and says “ Are you guys ordering tonight or what?” Meanwhile we were waiting for the waitress for about 20 minutes but she was nowhere to be found; The waitress finally comes to our table to take our order after we just received a nasty attitude from the manager/owner she wants to chime in with her own little attitude and nonstop, correct us about the menu meanwhile, I haven’t been to the establishment in years. so we ordered our food we tried to watch the whole game while we were eating but we ended up finishing our food at maybe the beginning of the fourth quarter and my friends and I don’t drink alcohol so we didn’t want to just sit at the table and not order anything so we ordered a couple of desserts to not try to make it seem like we were just idling the table before I ordered the desserts, I had asked the waitress for a menu to see what desserts they have and I didn’t see anything on the menu so when I seen her pass by, I asked her “Do you guys have desserts” and she told me “yeah we only have one dessert brownie and ice cream” so I told her we will take a couple orders of that and she she had told me” that’s why you asked for the menu?” and I replied back, saying “yes”, and then she tells me “you could’ve just asked me” first of all. How am I supposed to know that this establishment only has one dessert every typical restaurant has a variety of options to choose from.
I kid you not the manager/owner probably sent the waitress to our table about 40 times in that one sitting 10 minutes apart, asking us “if we’re good” trying to get us out of the establishment as soon as they can to have others sit at the table which is understandable because it’s a business but at the end of the day, there’s a mannerism to when it comes to this type of things . We just finished our desserts. The owner/manager came to the table and told us very passive aggressively. “If you guys aren’t ordering anything, I can’t just have you guys sitting at the table not ordering anything. I have people waiting so if you guys could just please get up from the table and go stand at the bar.” This is after us spending are hard earned money at this establishment; We felt very unwanted uncomfortable & rushed There was absolutely nowhere to sit so he just wanted us to stand behind the people watching the game at the bar so me and my friends we didn’t even stick around any longer we just said “OK we’ll just leave” and he wants to tell us. “I’m not kicking you guys out”, but to be honest, that’s the impression we all got .We were very uncomfortable throughout the night and we felt unwanted and this will probably be my last time going to this place because all they care about is people just buying liquor instead of taking care of all customers that are spending their...
Read moreTried for first time this evening through delivery, 12 minutes from pick up to receiving the food
Everything was packed fine/wasn’t missing anything other then utensils requested
Unfortunately everything was pretty disappointing/nothing stood out to want to return in future
Buffalo city nachos: don’t know what was supposed to be Buffalo about this, the small boneless chicken put on top was all dry/devoid of any Buffalo sauce or flavor, and pretty much all the chicken/chips were burned black and made everything else just smell/taste of burnt flavor
Potato skins: not sure how you messed up potato skins, but somehow they were bland/consistency wasn’t enjoyable and potatoes skin was burned on all bottoms, even TGI Fridays frozen potato skins had more taste/quality
Fish n chips: Batter used wasn’t very pleasant and didn’t hold any crispness compared to other businesses offerings
The delmonico sandwich: was just really bland, steak didn’t seem seasoned at all, requested doneness/portion was decent, but nothing enjoyable flavor wise, also they put the pickle spear in same container with no separation/lining, so bottom was just completely soggy and drenched in pickle juice, so maybe if you enjoy your steak only tasting of pickle this is for you?
6 wings sweet heat(mango habanero): pretty much only thing that was enjoyable, was instantly recognizable as mango habenero sauce and similar taste as other mango wing sauces at other places
6 wings jack daniels: umm…not sure if they gave me the wrong wing sauce because this was unrecognizable and had no indication of any jack daniels/whiskey, and I’ve tried many other places with jack/whiskey glazes, so either the “jack daniels” sauce is anything but, or gave me the wrong item
Chicken wings overall: both orders had 2 flats and 3 drums so just be aware of that if it’s a purposeful ratio and you prefer one of the other, quality was similar to BDUBS/Wingstop, I’d stick to just getting them on days they have deals on them? (From what others said)
Give it a shot dine in and see if have a better experience, but I wouldn’t recommend for takeout or delivery based on...
Read moreWent to Kettle black Wednesday February 8th with some friends for some wings which were highly recommended. The wait for a table was about 40-45 minutes which was expected (no issue with that). We were eventually seated at our table, the waitress with the blonde hair Michelle was stand off ish and rude. Normally when your seated for dinner, your waiter or waitress greets you an introduces themselves by name. She took our order then passed by our table a few times to check in with us to see if everything was good. Me an my friends out of curiosity wanted to know her name because she didn’t introduce herself upon seating us. When we asked her what her name was it was like pulling teeth, she said she didn’t want to give us her name. I thought that was very weird because we weren’t rude nor did we give her a reason to have a standoff ish attitude towards us. Right before we paid our I asked her one more time what her name was an she said it was Michelle. I personally gave her a decent tip once we received our bill but as I was heading home I thought about it and she honestly didn’t deserve a tip. Michelle treated us like we were inconveniencing her an didn’t make us feel welcome at all. Not even thank you or a goodnight. Not sure if she’s racist, simply rude, or shouldn’t be in the business of working as a waitress. Other than that the wings were very good, they took a long time to come. I’ll probably come back for the wings an speak with the manager personally about my previous experience with that particular waitress. Hopefully this isn’t a common theme with this...
