A Cozy Irish Pub in the Heart of Times Square. Not to be missed. 10/10 Being from Ireland and in Manhattan for a week's holiday I never thought I'd enjoy an Irish pub so much. A short step away from the bustling energy of Times Square, The Long Room stands out as a welcoming retreat for anyone seeking an authentic Irish pub experience. A relaxing escape from the city's fast pace.
The Long Room has a cozy, traditional Irish pub vibe. Its dark wood interiors, vintage decor, and comfortable seating make it an inviting spot. It's hard to believe it's just a short step away from timesquare. It manages to maintain an intimate, laid-back feel that seems perfect for both locals and tourists.
The menu is a welcome mix of classic Irish pub favorites. The Angry Bleu Burger And Mac & cheese with bacon were a standout for me, simple yet delicious food perfectly done and well executed.
Drink-wise, The Long Room does not disappoint. I can confidently say that it has the best pint of Guinness outside of Ireland!
The staff at The Long Room are exceptionally welcoming and attentive. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with genuine hospitality. Service is prompt, and the servers are more than happy to offer suggestions or accommodate special requests.
Whether you're looking for a place to unwind after a day of sightseeing, catch up with friends, or enjoy a meal with family, The Long Room is a fantastic choice. Its combination of hearty food, extensive drink options, and warm, friendly atmosphere make it a standout spot in Times Square. Highly recommended for anyone craving a taste of Ireland in the heart of...
Read moreWent here for dinner while staying in NYC. Walked in and were seated quickly. Ordered waters to drink for we were just there to eat. Got waters from waiter then he walked away without asking what else we would like. He then continued to help others around us. Another woman then came and took our food order. While waiting for our food to come out, we overheard the waiter talking to another worker saying how we just ordered food and the other table just ordered drinks and how it was all “totally backwards”. This annoyed me because it was only 8PM, not prime bar time and the place was not near full so it was not like we were taking a table from him. We then received our appetizer and food which I must say was really good! However, we sat there with empty waters for a long time. We had to wave a female worker over to ask if she could please get us some more water and ketchup. She nodded then went to some other tables. Next thing you know she goes and continues to talk to the male coworker and then goes back to the bar area dancing around while we continued to sit without drinks. I then turned around and asked again if we could please get some water and she then finally filled our glasses. When then asked about the ketchup she said it was sent back to the kitchen, and then continued to just stand at the bar instead of going to look into that. Once we finished our meals we sat there for awhile until our table was cleared and we received our check. This was all very unfortunate because the food was good, but it was just ridiculous how rude the staff was just because we did not...
Read moreI went to this place last night with my son who is nurodiverse and is 24 years old, for a drink around 11 PM. We were staying in next door hotel Mela for the night and were feeling little cold after drenched in the light rain. There were 2 bar tenders and they started acting very weird with my son which we assume that they were just joking. Turns out as my son was entering the place due to his awkwardness, they assumed that he is either drunk or high. After I tried to explain what might have caused the confusion and that I am his dad and he is perfectly all right and is not drunk or high, still they refused to serve him drink and one of them made comments amounting to it will be bigger problem to serve a nurodiverse person a drink. We both were in shock and left the place. The entire episode impacted my son very deeply and he is still trying to figure out what gesture he made which caused them to behave so disrespectful to him. It ruined our almost perfect day stay in NY and I know he will be in stress and anxiety for many more days to come.
I apeel to every one to be cognizant of nurodiverse people and some social awkwardness does not imply the are any way less capable of nuro typical. It really hurts when this thing is still happening when we are celebrating Autism awareness month.
Updated 4/23/22 Thanks for taking prompt action and addressing this with your employees I really appreciate. The only reason I raised the issue to avoid someone else in the similar...
