Consider this a "Nightlife" review. I've been here twice now and I have to say, I kinda like it! Take this review with a grain of salt because I didn't eat any food.
First things first, they actually checked vaccinations at the door, which is fantastic! Covid is thing. Safety is paramount. I appreciate the ownership taking things seriously.
My friends and I first Stumbled in to the Inn after visiting a beer garden for a birthday party. Most of my crew left just before midnight (they were too lifted/drunk to continue the night) but I stayed because the dance floor was packed. I hadn't seen that in a long time so I wasn't going to leave that early.
The DJ played a little of everything from Dembow, do Dancehall, Afrobeats to Rock and it was awesome. I danced my heart away until about 3am. I often wondered whatever happened to the days when we skipped the pretense at the door and just got it in on the dance floor. The art of the dance is not lost and Stumble Inn has a piece of it.
I had a few drinks while I was there. The ingredients for some of my requests weren't available and I had to wait a little bit because of how busy the bar was. My bartender apparently took notice of my patience and rewarded me by comping one of my drinks! What a way to end the night!
So look, I don't know about the food situation (Can you really go wrong with fried bar food though?). I do know that you can grab a drink and dance hard. For me, that's enough to recommend a...
Read moreHow to describe Stumble Inn...This establishment has a ton of potential if it weren't for the staff that completely ruins it aka the bouncers. In order to actually enjoy all that Stumble Inn has to offer, you have to be able to get in! I only write this to tell everyone how horrible service I was treated by the African-American bouncer that seriously needs to learn what braces are as well as what a razor is. Anyway, this individual would not allow me in after showing my identification card, which NY State provides you when you lose your id as they mail you your new one. and ironically enough I lost my ID AT STUMBLE INN A WEEK PRIOR! So I was not allowed in because my identification papers provided by the DMV were not sufficient when every other bar and club accepted them? I have had no issue at ANY OTHER establishment in the city and spent plenty of money here and there. Regardless, because of this bouncer, I will forever never go to Stumble Inn and only detail my horrific story to as many people as I can. To the management at Stumble Inn, get a new bouncer because he is hurting your business with clientele like me that have a huge network and am only here to help and uplift your business until provided otherwise as was demonstrated the...
Read moreThere are so many great spots to eat in the neighborhood but if you're looking for a reasonably priced bar that has a traditional New York sports bar atmosphere that draws a lively crowd, is full of energy, frequented by friendly locals and has inclusive and supportive staff (from the bouncer to the bartender), this is your spot! Whether you're sitting at the long bar counter on the stools or further inside at the nice tables set up to drink and share grub with a group of friends, large TV's are on and music is pumping in the air to really create a space for people from all walks of life to have a good time! Even though I'm an extrovert, this is not my usual scene! But I was invited by a friend and being the traveling soul I am, I truly enjoyed myself! Seeing so many people just enjoying life is what's important no matter the road and sometimes all it takes is just a little trip to somewhere new that can honestly give you that refreshing experience! Thank you for the time! I hope to pop in again another day with more friends and take more photos! I was enjoying the moment too much...
