I was told I can’t place an order for a cake on the phone so I ended up going in person. I went early afternoon on 02/04 to place my order. The lady wrote down the correct details for my order. The small cake of tres leche is $50 so I left half deposit. I came back on 02/10 to pick up my order. It was a different lady & she packed up my cake right away. I didn’t even get to look at it. I personally didn’t like that just because I like to check everything is fine with the cake I ordered so I politely asked to see it. I see that they wrote the birthday boy’s name wrong. I told her it was wrong & maybe they can fix it since I’m already there. She said she can’t because she didn’t take my order that day. Maybe it’s not a big deal for some people but it was for me. My son had the Oreo ice cream with pancakes. He inhaled it. I tried chicken pastillos. It was like a simple taco with burst of flavors missing the squeeze of lime. The meat pastillos had enough season for my palate. Not overwhelming with pepper. Perfect. The cheese had white cheese like a grill cheese melting in my mouth

Read moreSo-So customer service. Took forever to order and to get our food. There were only like 3 customers and 3 or 4 workers! Since it was our 1st time eating there we had questions (Spanish-speakers), but the cashier seemed bothered by that.
The Mexican 'food' is ok, too expensive and not delicious - just ok.
The baked goods are much better - just go for the bakery. You can buy Jarritos and all the other Mexican products they sell across the street at Antillana for less.
I'm sure the hi reviews are friends or single men who can't cook. I can, grew up in Texas, and work in Mexico City every 4 months. This is not a 4 or 5 star Mexican food restaurant - sorry.
