âď¸ 1-Star Review â Frustrating First Visit, No Customer Service. I visited Uncle Louie Gâs for the first time to get two ice creams for my kids. The staff put everything into a white paper bag and told me it would be $30. I was surprised by the price, but I paid, assuming maybe prices had gone up. Once I got to the car and looked inside, I saw there were four ice creams, not two. I immediately went back and told the staff I only ordered two and couldnât eat the extras (I donât eat sugar). I asked if they could refund me, but she said she didnât know how to do a refund. So, two full ice creams went straight to the garbage. Also, one of the kids ordered an Italian ice, and it was awfulâjust sugary, flavorless ice loaded with black dye. Her lips stayed black until the next day.
To make things worse, I emailed them twice to explain the situation, and no one ever responded.
Very disappointing experience from start to finish. Zero accountability, no effort to fix a clear mistake, and no response at all to...
Read moreThey sell divine ice cream at this spot. I canât say anything about the Italian ice (Iâm not a fan of ice desserts in general), but their ice cream is absolutely amazing â definitely worth waiting in line for on a hot day. I got a large cone with black raspberry flavor, and you might not believe me, but it tasted just like childhood. You canât find ice cream like that in any store. My friend tried the coconut flavor, and it tasted exactly like a Raffaello. We got the ice cream on a Wednesday evening around 7 p.m. There was a bit of a line, but it was so worth it. Today the weather was rainy, and there was no line at all â the ice cream was just as incredible. The guy at the register was super nice, explained everything clearly, and was...
Read moreI asked the person at the counter for a quart of Italian Ice. After packing the ice, he told me the quart would be $12. I pointed out to him that the sign on the window said $11. He said âoh yeah, those prices are old. We havenât updated the poster in like three and a half years.â I said âok, well, Iâm paying $11.â I wonder where that extra dollar was going to go. I donât appreciate being treated like a sucker.
Worst part was when I got home 10 minutes later, the container of Italian Ice was probably 4/5ths full with a big gaping hole in the center. So not only was I going to get overcharged, I wasnât even going to get the full product I paid for either.
Really awful...
