First time visiting NY, I stayed in a hotel in the middle of everything. My boyfriend wanted to watch the game so, we opted to order in. There were so many selections but, we narrowed it down to: a place offering shrimp and grits or Thai. I googled search and found so many great places however, I went solely off of pictures. I came across this restaurant. I called and tried to explain what I saw. The sweet lady that answered the phone said, "no, we don't know picture, explain what you want". She was so patient. I finally told her that I wanted some (rice) noodles, with seafood and vegetables. I can't remember what my boyfriend ordered other that the side of chicken soup. I recall her telling me $40 but upon arrival it was $50...I guess that was for the delivery fee. She told me 40 min delivery time and they arrived in half that amount of time. Now, I am usually the one that always disappointed with my choice, and wishing that I had selected what the other person has, BUT NOT THIS TIME! I wish I could tell you the name of the dish but I don't know it, all I can say is that IT WAS SO GOOD! It was what I had a taste for and some. It was plentiful that I couldn't eat it all. I was filled with every vegetable that you can name (broccoli, baby corn, celery, cabbage, cauliflower... I even tasted fennel) and, it was loaded with seafood (shrimp, muscles, calamari with a pineapple pattern and some other good stuff I can't name). I thought it was going to be soup but it wasn't, and she said that it was spicy but, it wasn't...but that was no problem. I used some of my boyfriends chicken soup to pour in my food to make it soupy. My boyfriend was more satisfied with my dish than his...he was the one disappointed with is decision this time. Not that his dish wasn't good but, that mine was so much better. I was sharing with him to make him happy. And, I still had plenty left over. He was unsatisfied with the soup because it was just clear broth with a couple of strips of chicken (no vegetables). I did take a picture of my dish however my phone just died so, maybe I can upload it later. I honestly was so thrilled with my dish that, I don't think you can go wrong with this place. I hope I...
Read moreJune 2024 I'm here again after 4 years to celebrating my friend birthday. Food still wonderful with great service. That is why this restaurant always packed and very busy. We share everything so whatever food that's ready, they just bring it out to the table. This is the lists we order......
Raw shrimp is fresh and taste. Papaya Salad Pu Plala is perfect spicy the way I like. Kangsom Goong is my favorite thick soup, unique and not a lot of Thai restaurants have this menu and do a good job. Kor moo Yang is standard. Pad Ped Pla Dook is yummy Crispy Pork Chinese water crest is always my choice Soft Shell Crab is ok, I'm not crazy about this one. I actually order Poo pad pong ka lee but the waitress doesn't tell me they don't have this in the menu. Instead of that they give me this Soft Shell Crab. I wish she let me know first. Pla Gra Tiam is very crispy and juicy inside.
for drink, we just have juice and don't want to have any alcohol here because they are so busy and normally my group like to enjoy and take time when we drink. Overall everything is good, food comes fast, polite service, first come first serve and no reservations for this place.
February 2020 Small restaurant with authentic Thai food. My friend and I got lucky showed up early and got a table right the way before the place got really packed. I found out later that next restaurant owns by the same owner but it looks different because they were not busy at all. I don't know what stop them to merge two of this restaurants together and use the same name 'Wondee' the fact that i have to go to the restroom next door kind of bothering me a bit specially in the winter and I have to put my coat on.

Read moreDining at this Thai restaurant was nothing short of delightful — a vibrant, flavorful experience that left me smiling from the first bite to the last. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home. The ambiance was cozy yet lively, with soft Thai music in the background and tasteful décor that beautifully reflected the culture.
The menu offered an impressive variety of authentic Thai dishes, each crafted with care and bursting with flavor. I started with the yum pla dook fo — perfectly balanced with a bright citrus kick and just the right touch of spice. The Pad krapow Moo kob was one of the best I’ve had, with tender , crunchy, and a tangy sauce that tied everything together. The pad ped pla dook was another standout —, aromatic, and packed with fresh herbs and vegetables.
What I appreciated most was the attention to detail — every dish was beautifully plated, and the staff made thoughtful recommendations based on my preferences. You could feel the pride they had in their food and the joy they took in sharing it.
There’s something incredibly uplifting about a place like this. It’s more than just a meal — it’s a celebration of Thai culture, warmth, and community. Whether you’re a Thai food enthusiast or trying it for the first time, this restaurant welcomes everyone with open arms and leaves you with a full belly and a happy heart.
I’ll absolutely be returning, and next time, I’m bringing friends! If you’re looking for comfort, flavor, and a dash of optimism in every dish, this Thai restaurant is the...
