Had a bad experience here as well. Was in a group of 6 and we all got the same margarita. They were absolutely disgusting and had way too much sugar. After about an hour there, none of us had touched our margaritas because they were flat out undrinkable. We asked for them to be removed from our checks and they said they don’t refund, they’ll make it right. They brought this patronizing lady over and she took our drinks two at a time to have them get “fixed”. They didn’t make new ones. They poured more mixer into the existing drink and she said she watched them squeeze fresh lime in them even though it took her like two seconds to bring them there and back. I finally just told her they did nothing to fix the problem at this point we want to leave - just bring us our check. She patronizingly continued to ask us how they could make it right and I just asked her to please stop talking to us and bring us the check. She then told us we all needed to calm down and I told her we’re calm, just please stop talking to us and bring the check. Three times I had to tell her to bring the check while she made side comments. Come to find out, she wasn’t even the manager, she was the hostess and when we asked for the manager we were told he was having dinner. So yeah, that was our...
Read moreI work in the area so I wanted to try something new for lunch. On this beautiful day my feet brought me too Arriba Arriba. I was intrigued by the lunch special options located on the wall. I walked in at 12 p.m. where I was taken right away. It was empty but that didn't last long. Within 20 minutes, there was 15 to 20 people. By the time I left there was a line out the door. The lunch special is the catch to get everyone in the door. 12.95 with choices of amazing food plus sodas, sangria, and margaritas is within the special. That's a great deal for a great price. :)
Pros:
The ambiance is great The music is awesome The lunch special has numerous choices of food with soda n alcoholic beverages for decent price for Midtown The food comes out quick, fresh, and hot !
Cons:
Despite the space being big, the space between the tables are narrow for anyone to pass. U can easily bump into someone.
The customer service provided endless water but felt very rushed with no real greeting... just " are you ready to order?" Nothing really explained to you about the lunch special, etc.
All in all I would have lunch here again. My lunch was good- the platano relleno but I would choose an outside table so I can have more space so I wouldn't be anyone's space nor no one...
Read moreI visited Arriba Arriba on Friday, October 10th, 2025, and was treated with extreme disrespect upon arrival.
As I sat down to consume at the establishment, a man who appeared to be the manager, supervisor, or person in charge approached my table without greeting me and spoke in an aggressive and offensive tone. I had to state that I was a customer, as his approach implied otherwise. He justified his behavior by saying that “many people come in just to use the restroom,” which does not explain — let alone justify — the hostility.
I felt deeply embarrassed and disrespected as a consumer. This employee’s attitude shows a complete lack of preparation and empathy. I also cannot dismiss the possibility that his behavior was motivated by xenophobia, homophobia, or prejudice based on my appearance.
Later on, some of the floor staff attempted to mitigate the situation and were more courteous, but the initial humiliation remained and completely ruined the experience.
I hereby register my indignation with the conduct of this employee, whose actions negatively represent the establishment. Any place that welcomes the public should prioritize respect, courtesy, and equality in service — which clearly...
