Where do I begin! Let me start off by saying the team working at Wonder was kind and apologetic, but it feels like a HUGE miss for this to have even happened.
We waited over 40 minutes for 2 sandwiches. At first, they weren't prioritizing orders placed in store, so they hadn't seen our orders even come in. On top of that, they told us they hadn't known we were waiting, despite us having obviously sat inside for the last half hour. This feels like a huge miss to me - if you see two people obviously waiting, ask them something - did you place an order? Have you been here before? They could have asked us anything! They did not.
Additionally, we were in a timecrunch. As any excited tourist knows, you want to do as much as possible within each day. We had just wrapped up an amazing day at MOMA and wanted to grab a small bite before heading out to an event at 6 pm. Because the wait was almost an hour, we were extremely delayed and for no good reason!
At 5:40, I asked for a refund, which is when they brought out more team members to help process the refund. At this point, they said they didn't have the brioche bun or the tomato, which is why the sandwich was taking a long time. They asked if the sandwich was ok without the tomato, to which I said yes, I just want to leave.
When I opened the sandwich, it had a brioche bun and a tomato inside. I was just as confused as you might be. And as a horrible add-on, the chicken sandwich was horrible.
All in all, if you value good customer service and good food, don't go here. The team apologized, but I think after waiting 40 mins for bad food and with bad customer service (just ignoring us waiting), then I don't think that...
Read moreWent in person and ordered there, got the poke, banana pudding, and some lemonade which was $30. The poke was good, it had lots of options available, though, it's nothing revolutionary or anything to write home about. Banana pudding was really good and for a hot day it was really nice to have this snack on the side.
There were lots of options and lots of dietary information for those who are GF or dairy free, it was really helpful!
My experience ordering in person was unique, all but one ordering kiosk was working so I had to end up downloading the app and waiting 30min for my food. It was frustrating but the staff did their best to work on the problem, even offered me a complimentary drink for the trouble. My order after payment had the customer service number text me saying that some of the things I had ordered and paid for were out of stock, so they gave me $3 in credits.
Overall, I really like the variety here, if you're struggling with "What do I want to even eat?" this place can be great. Kudos to the staff for being kind to me and trying their best to get...
Read moreFood was ok. I had high hopes because of the various chefs that had recipes here. But recipes will get you so far. I ordered online for pick up because I lived too far. They texted me my order was ready, I went in, it wasn’t. I had to wait an additional 20minutes. I saw the kitchen and the expediter packing things. They said my order was ready but needed to be packed….it wasn’t ready and they still left something out. I even counted my containers because I suspected something may be missing but darn it I expected the chicken in the salad plate and it wasn’t! My grilled chicken was missing, they gave me a store credit but I will not be using it since I don’t plan on coming back. Food was cold too, not sure because it was sitting at wonder or the 1/2 hr drive home. Not sure if they are under staffed or just slow workers in the kitchen. I saw people in there walking slowly to get my order ready. This place could be so great…but sadly it’s not. The location I went to was in downtown Brooklyn, next to a...
