I used this lab for around 3 years since it's around the corner from my place and I only need my filmed developed (I scan it myself). I went there at least every other week and must have brought over a hundred rolls. Develop quality was ok, sometimes some water marks but overall alright. However, interaction with the owners/operators there was always weird. They don't develop the film themselves but send it off to another lab (CRC), which might be the reason why they always gave me weird vibes when I told them 'development only'. One of the two guys there often refused to take my film for dev only without scans, until the other guy came over and told him that it's ok. One time I brought some slide film for cross-processing in C41. The guy asked me to call their lab to check if they do it, so I called them and they of course confirmed. Some months later I again brought some slide film for crossprocessing, this time they refused to do it. Only after telling them that I had checked with CRC that they do crossprocessing, they accepted it - but only for $5 extra. The last time I went there was when I wanted to drop off some slide film for E6 processing. This time they again refused, but I told them that CRC does indeed do E6 processing. Then they responded that they only do it when I order it with slides mounting. I said that I only want my film processed, no mounting or scanning, and they said I should find another lab. Well, I followed their advice and never came back. I've since found another lab close by that is cheaper, is happy to take my money, never overcharges me, and even politely greets me...
Read moreMy headshot photographer recommended this place to me - I called and asked if they would put a border around my headshots with my name, and they said yes and that I could upload my photos on the website. I uploaded the files and within a few minutes received an email saying my headshots were ready for printing anytime I wanted to come in. I stopped by a few hours later; as soon as I walked in one of the guys waved me over to the computer so i could approve the image with its new border, and then they did a test print. After I approved that it took them less than 20 minutes to print the rest of them, and they even threw in a discount! They also said that now that they had my files I could just walk in whenever I wanted another print. They’re very nice, very quick, and unlike Reproductions they don’t charge a setup fee. I will definitely...
Read moreI've been going to Quick Color for over 15 years for my headshots, comp cards, and postcards. They do a great job and would color correct and photoshop little things even when I didn't request it, but was gratefully accepted. They are a family-run business and have always been lovely and understanding with photo lab needs.
I recently went in to create new postcards with three headshots and I did have to wait for a bit after work hours, but once I sat down with the designer, it took around 45 mins from design to finished product. I was able to take them home with me that night without a rush fee like other labs. My agent was exceptionally happy with them and it seems many of her other clients use Quick Color as well. I'm glad to see they now do passport/visa...
