Barcade in New York City is a nostalgic haven for gamers and beer enthusiasts alike, offering a unique blend of retro arcade games and a vibrant bar atmosphere. While the NYC location holds its own charm, it's hard not to acknowledge that the true gem of the Barcade empire lies in its original home in Williamsburg.

Walking into Barcade NYC is like stepping into a time machine that transports you straight to the vibrant and pixelated world of 1980s arcades. The array of classic games lining the walls, the neon lights, and the energetic hum of joysticks and buttons being pressed create an atmosphere that is both lively and reminiscent of a bygone era.

The NYC location is nothing short of amazing, with a fantastic selection of both vintage and modern arcade games, complemented by a diverse menu of craft beers. The bartenders are friendly, the service is efficient, and the overall vibe is one of camaraderie and fun. It's a perfect spot for a night out with friends or a unique date night experience.

What truly sets Barcade apart, and keeps me coming back, is the microbrewery's unique selection of craft beers. The rotating taps feature an array of brews that you won't find in your average bar. From hoppy IPAs to rich stouts, each visit to Barcade is an opportunity to explore and savor new and distinctive flavors.

The commitment to featuring a diverse and ever-changing lineup of beers is a testament to Barcade's dedication to the craft beer culture. It adds an extra layer of excitement to the experience, making each visit a journey of discovery for both gaming and beer enthusiasts alike.

While Barcade NYC is a fantastic destination in its own right, the Williamsburg location with its industrial charm and originality adds a unique touch to the Barcade journey. Whether you're there for the classic games, the craft beers, or a bit of both, Barcade manages to create an experience that keeps you coming back for more. It's a delightful marriage of nostalgia, innovation, and, of...

What was supposed to be a fun celebration of my friend's birthday, quickly turned into a very disappointing night due to rude staff and security.

Two of my friends and I were talking, when one of them suddenly realized that she had a piece of toilet paper stuck to the bottom of her shoe from Barcade's (dirty) bathroom. She quickly brushed it off of her shoe, and we continued talking. Almost immediately, a security guard comes up to her and tells her she needs to leave. He claims that he just witnessed her litter and that she is no longer allowed in the bar. We tried to explain to him the situation, but he was very obviously just looking to start problems. Then, he sees that she has a water bottle in her hand. Understandably, water bottles are not allowed in the bar, but she had not been made aware of this, and in fact, just asked the bartender to fill it up with water 5 minutes prior to this whole altercation. No matter what we said, he insisted that she was being kicked out. Another staff member, a manager I believe, approached and joined in, insisting that we needed to leave because of the water bottle. It wasn't until some other men from the bar got involved, that we convinced the security guard to let us show him the exact bartender that filled up my friend's water bottle. The bartender confirmed that he filled up the water bottle with WATER and that there was no issue. The security guard let us stay but obviously couldn't have cared less about the trouble he had just caused us.

I didn't even want to stay after that, the night was ruined. My friend felt so uncomfortable and upset. I will not be returning to...

We love New York, we love Chelsea, we HATE BARCADE. Whoever worked security the night of 10/16 will be the demise of your business. My husband and I walked up to have a couple drinks and food. We were met by the most power hungry, outrageous security guard. He’s what you think of when someone has no power in their regular life, but is given a position of power that means literally nothing. He made a decision that my husband who had done NOTHING to him wasn’t allowed in because he “smelled like alcohol”. We were going into a bar, he had TWO BEERS before we got to the bar. He proceeded to tell us, multiple times, he had “made his decision” and he “runs this place”. We asked to speak to a manager. He refused time and time again, TAUNTING my husband getting in his face asking if he would “do something about it”. My husband put his hands up saying “I’m not going in there, there just has to be someone else to talk to” and the security guard said “you gonna hit me?” At one point, he pushed my husband out into the sidewalk when all he did was look around the security guard into the restaurant and ask for help. Me, who hadn’t been irrationally banned, asked to go in so I could speak to a manager without my husband. I was told I was also banned because I was with him. What an embarrassing experience for us, for no reason and more importantly, what a disgusting display of “power” by a man who has clearly nothing else going for him: Not only will we not go back, we immediately went to OTHER bars and restaurants where we were welcome; we spent our money and...
