A hidden gem i'm glad I found. I had a temporary job in the area and stumbled across this food cart. Best chicken over rice I've ever had. I've had chicken over rice halal all over manhattan. Downtown near chinatown, midtown near time square, 68th st near hunter college. The portion size for the price is unbeatable compared to the other food carts I've been to. For $6, I get a big box full of food. The chicken is so tender and flavorful. The rice is so fragrant, and heavy, like it soaked a lot of flavor. You have to add the cilantro and onions. They add those for free. The green sauce blew me away. It's so spicy. They called me "Spice man" cause I always asked for extra green sauce. You know it's spicy when the guy serving you the food says it's really spicy and has that look on his face like "be careful". One bite with the green sauce, and your face will turn red. I always come here but during the day and sometimes at night they skimp the food they put all rice almost no meat. I bought 3 chicken/lamb over rice here today and they fill boxes with rice and barely put any meat, it’s very disappointing and disgusting to what they do sometimes to make extra money, this is the month of Ramadan they shouldn’t be doing this. I travel far just to come here to buy food just because my family loves it and it’s really disappointing I’m highly dissatisfied as to its $9 per order on top of that. Stop skimping the meat. We pay full price for our food, and on top of that we tip the cooks ! if I wanted rice I would’ve made it myself cause that’s basically what I got and white sauce. Horrible Experience. Food wasnt hot and very soggy. No sauce, fork, or tissue was offered. I had to scream to get the servers attention so I can have those items. Food was served in aluminum foil. When I asked one of worker to give me a plate he informed me that they ran out of plates. Also there was no AC/ fan running. Even though it was a 90°+ hot summer day. I found 2 Oscillating fan that wasnt plugged in. I told one of the guy who was working there to help me find an electric socket so I can turn on the fan.
