I’ve been in this place several times and I’ve already normalized the stares and glares because the area itself is racially-biased but tonight in particular was especially strange. I walk straight in, grab an orange pineapple and head for the line. There’s one woman at the register and one standing in line so I step over into the snack aisle to look at the price of the cashews (which were over $8 so I quickly put them back).

I step back in line to see the cashier had not only finished with the woman at the register, but had also asked the other customer in front of me to step into the other line. When I stepped back into the line, he was coming from behind the register with an inquisitive expression on his face. He rang up my orange juice, THEN rang the customer WHO WAS IN FRONT OF ME. My review is based on a phone call. I’m looking for a certain product. The young man who answered didn’t even know what I was asking about so he transferred me to a woman who was speaking too fast and because of her heavy accent I couldn’t understand what she was saying. To top it off as soon as she said what she had to say she hung up. Okayyyy…. I figured she was busy so I gave it a few minutes and called back. VERY CALMLY I Explained my experience on the last call to the same young man who answered again. He was silent and just transferred me to the same woman who after I asked my question went on to respond in an unintelligible manner and hung up. Sigh.,.. customer service...

Saw a cashier making fun of a lady for using food stamps. There was 3 people in front of me in line and I heard the cashier say that….. Then when when the woman opened her mouth,expressing they shouldn’t be announcing what form of payment she is using, the Asian women “maybe the owner” started yelling at the woman about her child for dropping a toy. The woman had already picked it up and said sorry. The child was little. I felt bad for them. Me and others saw. I was in shock. I felt bad after paying. I saw the woman crying at the light.
