I almost never write a review, but this was my first racist experience on 9/11 so here we go. I ordered the bagel and usually they keep a yellow form to themselves and give a white form to the customers to pay. I paid and the lady took the white form from me, and then they were calling out the customers and handing out their orders, (Daneil, Sarah, John ....) she called out my name I went to grab my bagel, and she took the BAG BACK and said I cannot see if you've paid on the system? she never even looked at the system until she saw me and refused to hand me my order without checking. The system works for everyone but not for me. She asked the lady on the counter to double check, I full of shame went to the counter, she asked me thrice did you pay I SAID YES AND I ORDERED A CROSSIANT, she said she cannot see my order and kept checking and scrolling. Another lady came who actually took my order (she was very sweet), she found my order and there was nothing wrong in the SYSTEM. Just the lady who was handing out the bagels wanted to triple check and she actually went to the system and saw my order and checked again IF MY ASIAN ASS PAID. The lady who took my order sensed the awkwardness and offered me an extra Croissant. Now OfCourse this can be ruled out as a problem in the system or there was a glitch blah blah but I WAS THERE, and I sensed it and experienced it. Thankyou Zuker's for my first racist experience. I will never...
Read moreMike Pomerantz My experience at Zucker bagels is absolutely the worst and if I can give them a -100 I would from the first time I entered. Bagels are good cream cheese is great, but the service and staff are pitiful and as a matter of fact when I finally got a hold of Bridget after several days, she told me hey yeah this is on sixth Avenue. We have a lot of parades going by. This is New York, people donât show up to work And I said thatâs not my problem. I am a consumer purchasing at your facility and you failed, not only did you fail me but if you check your Google reviews and yelp reviews, you will notice that service is terrible. After my conversation with Bridget, and listening to her excuses I decided to post this. She supports her employees regardless if they lie or make excuses or tell you the wrong thing. Here are a couple examples of that the Mac Zucker bagel comes with whitefish tomato and onions yet when I ordered it, they priced it out as a regular bagel with whitefish and failed to put it on. For me it was the dishonesty and lack of caring. Use of the bathroom comes with a code but you only get that at the bottom of the receipt after waiting on line as they have one cashier. If you look on Google, yelp etc you will notice their...
Read moreMy partner and I ordered two bagels, both of which were supposed to come with a pickle and coleslaw. Neither was provided. Thinking it might be a mistake, I politely asked the lady at the counter (dark hair, glasses) if they were supposed to be included. Without so much as a glance, she muttered, âWe donât have any.â I stood there for a moment, waiting for some kind of apology or explanation. When none came, I asked again, âSo?â She repeated, âWe donât have any,â and then barked âNext!â as if I was wasting her time.
It wasnât just our order eitherânone of the other customers seemed to get their pickle and coleslaw, even though it was listed as part of the meal. With how busy it was, thatâs a lot of people paying for something they werenât given. How many times can you pull that trick before it starts feeling deliberate?
Look, I get that places can get hectic, but itâs basic courtesy to acknowledge when something isnât available - especially when youâve charged for it. Instead, we were treated as if we were the problem. Disappointing service and frankly, it left a bad taste...
