Good Morning Newark Halal Food — Restaurant in Newark

Having been a regular for over a semester now, I can safely say that this food truck has been my go-to whenever I need a bite to eat. I've been around the NJIT campus and have tried food from all the trucks stationed around Warren Street, and this one has been the one that's consistently delivered.

The seasoning on the lamb and chicken are leagues ahead, whereas proteins from other trucks run the risk of being slightly bland. The white sauce has the perfect consistency, not being too runny or too chunky-- making it a perfect contrast to the other textures in a gyro or protein-over-rice item. The hot sauce has a nice tangy flavor that really compliments the richer and savory taste that most of the food offered by the truck has. The menu is much more focused, and it pays off in dividends when you dig into your food-- as everything always has a quality taste.

The owner is extremely courteous and always delivers great quality customer service, as he's willing to accomadate certain requests(granted that you ask if it'll cost any extra).

For my part, I usually always get a lamb gyro-- and I can't stress it enough: the taste of the lamb always blows me away. The tomato and lettuce in the gyro add a refreshing note to the meal-- as it's served with white sauce and hot sauce(I usually get extra hot sauce)-- which brings it together, and makes it one of the staples I usually get. It's one I highly reccomend if you want to try out the food here for the first time.
