Ironside Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Newark

I went for the BTS Jin Cup Sleeve event yesterday and I was very impressed. Staff was super friendly and had small conversations with each willing person on line when they made it to the counter. They took pride in their jobs. There were a lot of fans present, so they updated us periodically if there were any delays or anything, and handled it with grace. What a great place! I have been coming to Newark for work for a couple of years and the worst part is the lack of a good coffee spot near Gateway Center. I just stopped by this place today (it’s inside of Freshii) and was really happy to get a decent Americano! The ambiance is half-lunch place, half coffee shop. You can definitely lounge there for a bit or take the drink to go. The service was friendly and efficient. I just wish they had a bigger selection...

Other than their scones looking a little muffin-ish and “having the beans”, Ironside Coffee has little in common with Mocha Joe’s, which is quite awesome.

Ironside’s coffee is delicious and hot, and the tables and chairs are level. Therefore, you don’t have to grab a stack of napkins in order to navigate wobbly tables.
