I arrived at this lot today to find that the entry gate was open, and the ticket machine would not dispense a ticket. I called the company number and was told by a person from the company that I could park there, and an attendant would be there in the afternoon who could take my payment. When I came back in the afternoon, both gates were down, and there was no attendant. There was another man there who was in the same situation. We were told to walk a block over to their other lot. We explained the situation to the attendant there who called his manager. They said that the person we had both spoken to in the morning was wrong, and the lot was supposed to be closed. We asked if we could pay for the parking and have that attend come open the gate. They refused and told us that it was our fault for parking in the lot despite the fact that the sign said they were open on weekends and the person from their company had told us we could park there. After almost an hour of begging to be able to pay and leave, we both called the police to report that our cars were being held, and the company was refusing to accept payment. Finally, with the police on their way, the manager told the attendant to take our money and drive over the one block to the other lot and let us out. He yelled at us the whole way over about how we should have known that that lot was closed and how he was breaking the law by manually opening the gate even though we paid for the parking. Needless to say, I will happily pay double to park in any other lot than ever have to use Edison...
Read moreI used to use this location every once in while when short on time and I don’t particularly remember getting greeted properly any other time, but today was really unacceptable. Leaving aside that I was not even greeted properly by the manager on site, he made the experience worse by saying without explanation that I couldn’t park without paying first. I asked why and he just replied saying “if you’re getting back after 6 pm then you cannot leave my car without paying”. With only 4 minutes to catch my 2:20 train I paid, but that will definitely be the last time unless they figure something out with that manager. It’s not like there’s not a more competitively priced parking lot...
Read moreThis is usually my go to for parking.l when I have a quick meeting in the city. It's right next to the train which is perfect if you're running behind. Or if it's raining.
Usually it's $6 for 2 hours That's not bad at all! Today I came in at 2 hours and 1 minute and the prices jumps to $19!!
Not worth it in my opinion when there's other options that are cheaper right around the block.
So heads up to my fellow commuters who go in the city for meetings or a night out. Go around the block past this parking spot and you'll see two other (just as secure) parking options for half the price. But be ready with cash because they...
