The most mind-blowingly horrible service I’ve ever received at a Starbucks, or really anywhere at all. I ordered a pastry through the mobile app, and got there at the estimated pick-up time. Nothing was there. I waited another 5min, then thought I should check in with the barista to see if it’s just not ready or maybe someone took it (which sometimes happens). Went up to the woman at the counter who was on her phone. Showed her my mobile receipt, asked politely what the status of my order is. Without bothering to say a word, she turned around and took something from out back and gave it to me. I was like great, problem solved. Bit weird they won’t bother a single word with the customer, but whatever. Then when I got back and opened it, the food was frozen solid. Not defrosted, not warmed, just ice cold in mid December. So instead of explaining to me (in 3-5 words, or a shrug really) that the order was not ready, the woman went “how dare you even ask me a question, you’re gonna eat frozen food now.” This is a new low for the entire service industry and I’m truly disgusted. Please take your money to the Starbucks two blocks away (687 Broad St, you’re welcome and this is how much I hate this place), or any of the independent cafés nearby. I’m fairly confident none of them would serve you frozen food taken halfway out of the oven as a punishment for a polite question. The only reason this place is not 1 star is because the lazy staff doesn’t have enough energy to mistreat every...
Read moreThis morning I decided to get a sandwich & cookie before class. The cashier rudely glared at me when I ordered, and, to my surprise, my order was forgotten about. People who ordered after me were receiving anything (sandwiches and coffee, so they just forgot about me). I asked a staff about my order & she said it’d be coming out soon. When I hear it come out a minute later, I take it (only my sandwich, my cookie was just lost in the void I presume). Yet, the cashier who rung me up (mind you, my transaction went through!) told me it wasn’t mine & told me 2 or 3 times that this customer who just ordered was waiting longer than me. I had been waiting for 10+ minutes, so no, he hadn’t been waiting longer. That same customer agreed with & defended me, saying I had waited longer, so thank you to that other student. They even had time to serve a friend who came in after me, but was STILL served before me, a paying customer. I never received the other half of my order because I had to leave for class. I literally cannot believe how rudely I was treated; I felt discriminated against, yet I did nothing but order as a regular customer....
Read moreWorst Starbucks ever. I wanted to try one specialty espresso that they had on the screen and I was told they didn't have that. Ok, so I try to get a latte and again, I'm told they don't have that (no latte at a coffee place, what?). Ok, so I try to get something else from the drinks menu but they don't have that either. At this point I just said, forget about the coffee, let me just get this X sandwich, and surprise, they didn't have that either. So I ask what DO they have, and I'm shown the only sandwich they have on the display. So I ask for one of those, but without the cheese. I'm told they cannot NOT put the cheese in the sandwich. I just said never mind, and left. At some point I thought I was being pranked because no place can...
