Took nearly 2 and a half hours to get a cold. Not room temperature. COLD 10” pizza, large order of wings and a 2liter. I made a online order and ordered 10” pizza, (by accident) a large order of wings and a 2 liter of Pepsi. Charged me $42 dollars. The online app automatically picks the smallest pizza for you. So I made the online order and after 20 minutes realized I ordered a 10” for 5 people so I called the store to see if my pizza wasn’t put in yet to try and make the change. I made my order at 6:30. Called the store and talked to the girl on the phone and was told it was to late and my order is about to leave the store for my house. So I said ok and wait. So 7:45 comes around and I call the store back to see if there was a problem since she said it was going out when I called and talked to the same girl and I asked about the the order and she says “ it’s going in the oven right now” so here we are and hour and 40 minute in and my orders just now getting put in and I called almost a hour ago to try and fix it and was told it was almost ready. So I ask for the manager and get the shift lead and he tells me that my order will be going out in the next 20 minutes then says “well you can just come pick it up if you don’t want to wait” I’m extremely irritated at this point so I agree go down to the store and they still try to charge me the $42 that includes Gratuity and delivery charges. He then discounts my order and tell me I have to wait for it in my car. So here we are 8:10 and I made my order at 6:30 so wait in my car and wait for an additional 15 minutes before I’m furious and go back in the store only to find out my order had been sitting there the whole time. So not only did I wait a ridiculous amount of time I got cold food also.
I will NEVER order food from this establishment again nor will I tell anyone about this place other than the horrible experience I received. They get 1 star from be because it wouldn’t let me...
Read moreUsed to like this place a lot. About a year ago it became a gamble to go to the Abby's in Newberg. Sometimes you got a good pizza. Sometimes you didn't. I don't normally leave poor reviews. Matter of fact, this is the first one I have ever left. The pizzas that my family received were so poorly made that I felt I needed to say something. I tried to email the company and deal with it that way, but nobody got back to me. I would have taken it back, but we live out in the country and I didn't want the hassle. We ordered three pizzas and two of them had almost no cheese on them. I mean close to nothing. I'm not sure what the person was thinking who made it. To me, a pizza with no cheese is not a pizza. The third pizza was a cheese pizza. I didn't eat it, but it looked ok. The leftovers are sitting in the freezer which is telling, because I usually don't have the self control not to eat it all fairly quickly. I am done coming here, which is a shame, because the pizza is good when they actually do it right.
Update: Three weeks ago I wrote this review. Despite the reply, nobody has contacted me yet. I don't want another pizza. I'm just trying to help your business succeed. If it were my business, I would want to know where we were making the mistakes that were costing us customers. I recommend that you standardize the amount of ingredients that you put on each pizza. Measure everything. That way, you get the same product every time. Also, maybe have someone check that it was made right before it goes in the oven. The quality of the pizza's that we have received over the last year have been all...
Read moreTL:DR, Abby's Pizza isn't that "legendary." It's pizza with more toppings than usual and thinner crust than average chain pizza places. It's not bad to get one every once n a while but Papa Murphy's tastes mildly better and you can get more for your money.
I've lived in Newberg my whole life, my family has probably ordered hundreds of pizzas over the years. There have been a few issues but not many, mostly hygiene and getting pizzas right. When I was younger there were some shady employees working and some that didn't wash their hands after handling money. While this was almost 5 or 6 years ago, I didn't see any of those issues today and I'm glad.
However my visit today was not amusing. I ordered a 16" Taco Pizza with LIGHT lettuce. Not only did the pizza come without ANY lettuce at all, there were a small amount of raw onions. I am mildly allergic but an EPI PEN is not required. This is concerning because I have never gotten a Taco Pizza with onions on it, at all. Not a single pizza in the past and I've been ordering since I was 13. The pieces of chicken also looked grey and kind of old. Excess seasoning on the pieces felt like an attempt to hide this as well.
It was also mildly disappointing to see the fire pit be removed due to the remodel and incompetent parents complaining to Abby's for not watching their own children, but this obviously is not the pizza places fault. It did not seem that a mask policy was enforced when people were near the register or using the restroom. Management was not able to be reached due to parties occupying the restaurant so...
