Updating my review. This is a cozy spot near our home so we tend to take family and friends here but 2 of the last times we went the service was awful. Rude waitresses. One night my sister in laws & I stopped by for a drink and the minute we walk in we are greeted with "Kitchens closed!!" As if we weren't welcome. This last time we sat outside mid day on a Monday we had friends in from out of town. Our waitress was very short and hardly checked on us then she came back and said "are you getting meals?"When we said we were there for the happy hour apps and drinks we never saw her again and a new waitress came out who was worse at customer service than the first. The lady from the bar who brought us one of our drinks was the only friendly one. Am I saying dont come here? No, its a great place and I certainly wouldnt want them to close. But hoping the owner reads this to tell those girls to treat their customers better. Its not hard and from someone who has worked in customer service(which is most people) you expect that. Especially in the food industry. Its like they arent even trying for the sake of getting a good tip. Also I HATE that they allow dogs on the patio. Im allergic and some lady with her dog brought it over to our table so my daughter could pet it. Which im sure she had nice intentions but for someone who is allergic and EATING I dont want a stangers dog around.
Old review:Hubby and I love this place!! Great Cajun tots! Great happy hours and specials! Delish salads and wings! Great place and we haven't even been able to enjoy the patio yet cuz of the heat but we're looking forward to it because...
Read moreI live about 100 yards from O’Bryon’s and typically meet friends for lunch or dinner here every 6-8 weeks. Not much of a drinker, but they have an impressive selection of beer on tap and I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried. Their food is of the typical pub variety, and I mean that as a compliment, as I’ve yet to have a bad meal. Personally, their fried chicken sandwich is my favorite; it’s almost too good (gotta watch my diet).
Service can be a bit hit-or-miss depending on when you dine in. There have been a few occasions where I had to politely flag down someone for a refill because our server went MIA. However, I waited tables throughout college and understand how stressful the gig is. Nothing to be upset about, just want my review to be honest. I should also note the waitstaff is always friendly and personable. I’ve had some great conversations with a few employees and appreciate the kind of welcoming attitude they possess.
The atmosphere has a cozy vibe to it, and there’s plenty of space both indoors and out. Some entree prices are a bit higher than you’d expect, but considering the quality of food it’s more than worth it.
Overall, I’d give them a much-deserved 9/10, and am always looking forward to...
Read moreTried O'bryon's for the first time last night. It was hot outside, but comfortable on the patio. We got the chips and queso to start which was light and very good. I got the large order of wings with spicy garlic and fries with cajun seasoning. Probably the biggest wings I've had at a restaurant. The spicy garlic was some of the best sauce I've had. The seasoning and crispness of the fries was very good. I could only eat half my wings since they were so big which is unusual for me. Wife got tenders and tots. Tenders had a unique crust which was very good and the chicken was moist. Tots were tots. Maybe slightly better than other places that serve them. The tenders were definitely unique, in a good way. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. Overall, we were happy with our dinner. O'bryon's is what I would consider to be, upscale bar food. Their prices are a little on the high side, but sometimes, you have to pay more for good...
