Smoothie King — Restaurant in Newport

AVOID THIS PLACE. I have been going to this smoothie king almost everyday since it opened. Not once have I received good service or a good smoothie. The only time one of the workers where kind to me and actually seemed like a nice person was when I went a couple weeks ago and a young lady named Sydney served me. Beside that all of the workers are a-holes to me. Yesterday was my last day going (June 16). A worker named Ashlee took my girlfriends order. After she took the order she walked away with out even asking if I wanted anything! As she was walking away I said “hey can I get something too?” All she did was the her head, look at me then keeps walking away. Once we got our smoothies (about 45 min later) it tasted awful. Another fun note to add, my girl ordered a large and got a small, she also paid for the large (proof was on the receipt). She told the lady working the bar and this girl couldn’t have been more of a bi*ch! This worker was so rude about it and after my girlfriend finally got so pied off we left! This place is ridiculous! A problem I’ve had every single time here, INCONSISTENT SMOOTHIES! They never ever ever taste the same, and I order the same exact smoothie every time! Occasionally the protein powder won’t even be mixed up into it and I’ll choke on some powder mid smoothie. I don’t at all recommend this place, not even to try it out. Please go to Kroger right across the street and buy the ingredients for the smoothie and make it yourself instead, I guarantee you’ll save about $10 doing...

I go here 3-4 times a week (yes really.) The Staff has always been polite to me even when they are busy ($5 Fridays, early evenings.)

Smoothie King is not cheap, it is a luxury to be able to afford like buying workout supplements from GNC or having a spa day --- and their cost of fruit and other ingredients justifies the price.

I am a budget conscious person and have considered buying a nice blender and making these at home BUT (and a big one) I would NEVER have the same variety of flavors on hand at home as I am given to select from at SK, that is why I will continue to go here.

I would like to say that all of you slamming anywhere with 1 star reviews the first few months it opens are a little unfair. If you want something done about your problem contact the manager, or franchisee -- they want you to come...

Went through the drive thru and the cashier was very nice. I got the peanut butter swizzle bowl and I was so excited to try it. That excitement was short lived . When I received my bowl it was already melting so not off to a good start. I live 5 min from smoothie king and by the time I got home it was COMPLETELY melted and now I’m drinking my açaí bowl. Also would like to mention that my Banana was not even cut all the way so I had to use my spoon to cut up the bananas . On top of it all I paid $12 for fruit soup. I’ve had many açaí bowls and the consistency should be similar to soft serve so not sure how it melted that quickly . I will definitely come back and try...
