Nothing Bundt Cakes — Restaurant in Niles Township

I have never in my life dealt with a business this rude, this unprofessional, and this flat-out disrespectful. What I went through today at Bundt Cakes was not just disappointing it was humiliating and disgusting. You should be ashamed of the way your staff treats paying customers, because after this experience, I’ll never step foot in that place again. Here’s what happened. I ordered and paid in advance for a cake. This wasn’t a last-minute order. I did everything right placed the order, paid, and was told to come a little later to pick it up. Simple. The cake wasn’t some extra it was the birthday cake, the centerpiece of an entire celebration. It mattered, On the day of pickup, thanks to traffic and rain, I got there a little late yes, after closing. But let’s be clear: all I had to do was pick up the cake I already paid for. I wasn’t asking you to bake, decorate, or do extra work. The cake was sitting there ready. All it would have taken was someone opening the door, handing it over, and I’d be gone in two minutes. Instead, I walked into one of the most insulting situations I’ve ever experienced. The door was locked, fine. But when I knocked politely, not causing a scene your employees looked right at me, saw me standing in the pouring rain, and what did they do? They laughed. They literally laughed in my face. They looked me dead in the eye, smirked, and then ignored me like I was nothing. Over and over. Do you know how humiliating that is? To stand outside, soaking wet, knocking for something you already paid for, only to have the people inside treat you like a joke? That wasn’t just “bad service.” That was cruelty. If the store was closed, fine, then at least acknowledge it. Any decent human being would have opened the door to say, “Sorry, we’re closed, please come back tomorrow.” Or even just waved, gestured, something to communicate like civilized people. Instead, your staff laughed and ignored me. Because of their behavior, I walked away without the cake. Without the centerpiece for a birthday party. Without the one thing I paid for and trusted your business to provide. You didn’t just fail at customer service you ruined a birthday celebration. Do you even realize how pathetic that is? To ruin someone’s event because your employees thought it was funny to laugh instead of handing over what was already paid for? And no, don’t even try the excuse of “we were closed.” Closing doesn’t erase the fact that you already took my money. Closing doesn’t excuse laughing at a customer. Closing doesn’t mean you suddenly lose all human decency. Your staff chose to laugh. They chose to humiliate me. That was intentional, and it was disgusting. So here’s where I stand: I want the order canceled immediately. You’ll never see me as a customer again. I don’t care how good your cakes are there’s nothing sweet about being treated like garbage. I’ll be telling every friend, family member, coworker, and neighbor I know exactly how you operate. How you take people’s money and then laugh in their faces when they show up. You embarrassed me, wasted my time, and ruined a celebration. All because your employees couldn’t be bothered to act like human beings for two minutes. Do you realize how low that is? I have made many trips to this store(9719 Skokie Blvd) before mom’s 75th birthday celebration. Before I decided that this was the store to order her cake from, I took mom to this store just to see if the choice was on point. Place is neat and clean but poor customer service. Very rude and racist are some of the ladies that are employed there.😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡.

I went in to pickup mom’s order on 9/16/24. On this day I picked up a two tier cake; red velvet and lemon. Twelve balloons without a balloon weight. I requested a balloon weight and was told that she could not give me a weight. I said I will pay for a balloon weight, she said she couldn’t sell me a balloon weight. I purchased 12 balloons but I was not allowed to have one of the silver weights that I saw on their shelves. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

I also purchased 12 bundtinis, and 6 bundtlets. Nice amount of money spent for an incomplete service. I couldn’t innerstand why I couldn’t have a weight for my balloons🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. There is a huge sense of racism going on in this store. If someone comes in to spend their money, they should get what they paid for without the racism, nasty attitudes and unprofessionalism.

Later I went into this store at a different day and time, I experienced something totally different. I went in to buy bundtinis and the woman was sooooooooooooooooooo kind, and I told her that I would like to add this to my previous order for 9/16/24 Monday. She verified that I had an order, as I was making my payment the young lady said she couldn’t accept my $100 bill. I requested to speak to the manager and she was on the opposite register rude as can be. The young lady that serviced me was kind and embarrassed that her manager was so rude and she was servicing people as well. 🤬 There is a way to register birthday guest comp bundtlet, but we were never offered one for my mother when I took her in the store. Nor was I offered one when I spent over $200 in the store getting mom’s stuff. When someone else experienced and showed me the proof……………….but there is no way you can sell me a balloon weight. Maybe she has a medical condition yall. She may go in and out of character with people with her rudeness, disrespectful, unprofessional and touch of racism. It is not good for business. She is gonna go there with the wrong person one day and the store manager is going to wish they did something before that wonderful day...

This place has been my new favorite spot for birthday cakes, customized cakes, cupcakes, and others. Their cakes here are unique and delicious, and the quality is the best! The texture of their bread is so smooth and fresh. You can also try some of their new offers. All of their products here are always fresh and new. Their menu is big and all of their products are very affordable. They always have the cake ready on time and exactly. Their staff here is very helpful and attentive. They will greet you once you enter the place and also guide you around the place. All of them are doing their job properly and you can also tell that they love what they are doing. Nothing Bundt Cakes is amazing. From its staff, place, food, and to its service. Everything here is absolutely worth trying! Their cakes are high-quality and made to perfection. They offer so many types of cakes and desserts here. Those for special events and other occasions. No doubt why this place is always busy and their customers keep visiting this place and ordering some cakes and desserts again and again. Even though this place is very busy they can still manage and accommodate their customers. They can still serve and assist the customers. Nothing Bundt Cakes has cakes and desserts that are incredibly made.
