Puttshack - Skokie — Restaurant in Niles Township

I was really excited to visit this location as I had frequent the Oakbrook location in the past and loved the experience. I was a tad disappointed with this locations overall experience. Our group of 7 had purchased the unlimited deal for golf and every time we finished a course we were told we would automatically get a text to sign up for the next course, which didn’t happen. We had to approach a team member to send us the link every time. Which they all kept communicating it should be automatic and delaying the start of our game.

In addition, the bathrooms were not up to clean expectations. 4 sinks in a row were out of soap and many of the stalls had the toilet paper out of the dispenser either on the floor or on top of the dispenser.

Lastly, when we tried to close out my tab, your staff couldn’t locate our card and I had to wait around 15–20 minutes while it was being found. This was frustrating and disappointing, especially since no explanation or gesture was offered for the inconvenience.

I understand mistakes can happen, but a delay like that—especially when handling someone’s payment method—should be taken seriously. A small courtesy would have gone a long way in showing that customer experience matters.

Okay so maybe I'm bais cause Ive been to the one in Oakbrooke. My experience was just not good. I took my family there. Normally, they offer you drink as you go through the course. But they did not. I asked someone to send a waiter over. We played 9 holes and no one checked in- despite staff ensuring us that someone would be over. So we decided to sit at the bar. The drinks were good but the oakbrook location is better (more alcohol less juice). Chase was our saving grace. He was friendly and attentive. Really nice and funny. The food was subpar. I would order nothing again and it really lacked flavor. The bathroom were nice and clean but lacked seat covers. In Oakbrook the courses are not mixed so it was awkward when I went to the wrong hole #2 because it was right next to our hole #1. With better food, drinks, and service it may have been worth it.
