Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Norfolk

I've been to JM's before but this particular location stands in a class all by itself. I paid this restaurant a visit late Tuesday night 03/03/20 at around 8:20pm. As I'm about to place my order the clerk whom I think was the manager on duty said sir... "We ran out of bread." I thought this was his attempt to make me laugh. I said you ran out of what.? He replied we got busy and ran out of bread. Needless to say this is a sandwich shop so he proceeds to try and help me and offers a salad I'm quickly replied no thank you and walked out. I called in the next day to bring it to the general managers attention and he apologized and even offered me a free coupon. I the go back the next day 03/04/20 around 8:40 pm and they prepare my sandwich never did I mentioned I wanted my order to go. I sat down and tried to enjoy my meal and within 10 minutes they started to Pre close the restaurant. One of the the employees informed me sir we close at 9pm and I looked at my watch and I still had 10 minutes. I felt like I was was rushed to leave and they have no idea of how effective customer service is. I usually only order Jersey Mike’s subs! I love that unlike Subway, they don’t use that package processed meat and cheese! They use fresher deli meats, cheese and cut it infront of you! I order from them so much! Which is why I am so disappointed how bad this location has gone down! Manager Tristan was very on top of things and kept that place so professional ran! I don’t know who is managing it now and workers! I do know it’s clear they REFUSE to answer the phones! You can tell they do not want to be bothered! I have called there different days and times! They will let the phone ringaling ring! I would order from DoorDash often! Which on DoorDash they don’t have certain customizations available! I would call the store to let them know my request! So much so Tristan already knew how I wanted my sub and had his workers already know too lol! I would still call to confirm! So it’s let you know I spend money at that location! Whoever is there NOW! Update I was livid when I wrote review after reaching Jersey mikes higher up’s I got my refund. The manager who is a tall white guy told me he wouldn’t give me a refund, when I returned to the store with the food before he even offered or asked what was wrong. He interrupted a conversation that was having with his employee, I guess he wanted to show everyone who was boss. At the end of the day, I had to leave my place of employment to be disrespected and talked down too. I can’t tell you what he was thinking but I assumed he thought he was better than me, therefore he was able to say” that’s the risk you take when ordering” and my boss loves me, she not gone do nothing. Well that’s how she chooses to run her store, that’s on her. But I would never have an employee ruining my business because of how they feel.
