As others have noted, this is about what you would expect from mall restaurants. I'd say its below average in that regard. The protein itself is good, not great, but good.
We ordered the chicken and beef. Again, about that you'd expect for a mall stop. Sadly, that would be a cop-out. For a little more, you could get three times the portion and way better flavor at, say Sakuya in Aiken.
The fried rice had great texture but the flavor lacked. You can tell by the chunks of white rice and relatively pale color that the oils were barely used. There's an upgrade price to go from steamed rice to what is barely fried rice by any Asian cuisine standards.
The infamous white/yumyum sauce of hibachi places is available at a cost. It's not bad. Tasted more like mayo than a cucumber-based sauce. Overall, a lack of depth in flavor across the board.
This is a decent option if you happen to be at Walmart and want to scratch a specific itch. After loading up on sauces the food becomes more dynamic so there's that. The gyoza/dumplings were underwhelming too, by the way.
No eggs in the fried rice. The veggies are meh. Nothing special.
A very underwhelming experience for what is rather expensive food. This is the Sbarro of...
Read morePLEASE DONT FALL FOR THE FALSE ADVERTISING, especially from Tiger he makes it sound real good…. The sample chicken taste better than the actual chicken you’re buying, the rice is dry you will need extra sauce, the noodle are like hmmmm, not what you expect… the juice on it isn’t what you’re expecting I promise, &’ if you get beef you only get a small portion (it’s no comparison with the amount of chicken) if you say you should have more they say you have to pay for extra… the beef was about an 8, sample chicken is a 10, chicken you order a 7 rice was a 7 with sauce noodles 6.5-7… don’t say I...
Read moreI've never taken a bite of food and struggled not to immediately spit it back out. The chicken was squishy, with several chunks being straight fat. The teriyaki sauce was good, but the white sauce was mid, especially considering you have to pay 60 cents per cup of it. The fried rice (a 50 cent upcharge) was my favorite part of the meal, and even that couldn't save it. Neither myself nor my husband were able to get through half of our meals before chalking it up to a loss and learning experience and then tossed the rest...
