Walked in and wanted to have a nice mother and son breakfast and we were not greeted, we were told in an aggressive tone, "Pick a seat". So we just went and sat down. As we were sitting in the middle of the restaurant, i noticed an older gentleman that kept staring at us, not sure why but it was enough for us to feel uncomfortable to eat with the awkward staring. So we then moved over to an empty booth next to us, and it looked like it hasn't been wiped down yet, wasn't really dirty, just some crums, but we didn't really mind. There were not any dirty dishes or anything so we didn't see much of an issue. Well when our server came to us she seemed very upset that we moved to the booth and was very loud about us sitting at a dirty table, announcing out loud to other customers that she has people sitting at a dirty table. She then aggressively threw her whole body on our table reaching for the clean coffee cups we had brought to our new table and shook everything to the point that everything was falling over. She was throwing some kind of tantrum and slamming stuff and announcing out loud that we had moved clean utensils to a dirty table and such as well. My son has major anxiety and he felt so scared and embarrassed of her reaction that he was so apologetic and shaking because her aggression was so unnecessary. I didn't say a word to her because I was so shocked and so angry with how she reacted not knowing why we moved. I was worried I was going to cause a scene so after she walked away we just walked away and left. My son was crying in the car saying he never wants to go back to this restaurant again. So we ended up going to The Kozy Kitchen where we were treated much better. We did not catch then name of this server but she was an older woman that was scheduled on Monday 2/17/25 at 10:30am. I hope the managers will take this review seriously and hold her accountable, because that was just unacceptable behavior from a server, no matter how busy she is, there is no excuse! Edit servers name was...
Read moreStopped in as a party of 6. Had some pleasant interactions with our waitress who seemed to be on top of things. I ordered the "House Specialty". A Chicken Fried Steak Dinner for $15.95! Imagine my surprise when the "House Specialty" turned out to be a small, flash frozen, fresh off the truck microwaved piece of leather that was not fit for a $3.00 sandwich. I POLITELY asked the waitress if it was frozen, and she admitted it was. I handed it back to her and informed that I was not going to pay $15.95 for a flash frozen meal. She asked if I wanted anything else and I declined saying, "Sorry but once bit twice shy". She took it away and soon returned with the rest of the parties' orders. She then launched proceeded to launch into a tearful tirade in front of the few customers that were there about how I had no right to talk to her like that (I was very polite and cordial considering the circumstances) or raise my voice to her which I did not. I let her go on for awhile but finally enough was enough and I did raise my voice and told her to $%&# off and leave us alone. At that point the cook came storming out of the kitchen acting like a tough guy looking for a fight and demanded to know who was talking to her that way. I stood up and said it was me and told him he should learn how to cook and stop using a microwave. He ordered us to get out and not come back which I assured him....in no uncertain terms....was not a problem. We all got up and left and glad we did. I see that this place is up for sale and I guess I know why. The only recommendation I have is to avoid this place...
Read moreBy far and away the WORST meal I have been served in all of my 59 years. I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and vegetables. I was excited and expecting some down home comfort food. What I got...well even now I'm not real sure what it was. I got two fairly thin fried patties....and I mean crispy fried, although only luke warm. It tasted grainy and bland, flavorless but for the metallic tinge. The potatoes lumpy chunks of smashed potatoes that were watery like they'd been sitting in water for some time. The gravy was congealed and lukewarm and tasted like slime. The corn was anemic, like a very pale overcooked yellow, and looked chewy. I was unable to eat more that one bite without gagging. I didn't even attempt to eat the corn. My boyfriend got a chili burger - equally disgusting. Again, I am 59 and that was the absolute worst meal I've ever had. The waitress tried to be friendly when I told her about our food and asked us if we'd like to order something else. Neither of us had more than a bite off of our plates, which was obvious . I told her no thank you, and that I would not be paying for the food because it was inedible. She stood there for a minute then looked back towards the kitchen, at which point I told her to, "Go get him ..I'll tell him to his face, but he's not going to like it". At that point she said, "No, it's fine. Sorry you did not enjoy your meal. We couldn't get out of there fast enough ...
