i'm a local & have been coming here for over a year now. the food/donuts are good/ok. but the customer service REALLY needs work. the younger thin brunette haired girl that always works openings and usually is by herself needs to get a course in customer service. No Hello, No what can i get for you, just a deer in the headlights look & half smile. i tell her i'd like the Cinnamon Roll with NO raisins ( i have IBS ) and when i get home i find that it's the one WITH raisins. what a waist !!! then i order a 1/2 dozen donuts & she has zero consideration for frosting on donuts smushing together & would rather squeeze everything in 1 box and have them look like a mess rather then using 2 boxes. and idk why she's walking over to the cooling rack picking the donuts from there when they are clearly in front of both of us in the case? Then when it comes to check out she rings me up, flips the monitor around & walks away. uhmm What !?!? again, there's No Thank You for coming in, no see you next time, no have a nice day, she couldn't even wait the 20 seconds for me to tap my card. AND get this, there's a tip option also and you might be thinking i didn't give her a tip ... but i did. because my 1st job was working in a donut shop (mind you i had MUCH better customer service skills when i was 15yrs old then this girl does now) and for the other reason ... at a previous job i had a was a Head Baker for a local bakery. thats why i support local. but this keeps happening & unfortunately i can't support a local business if the 1st person you see when you go in there can't do the bare minimum of customer service. and btw if she's gonna listen to her ear pods while working... have them down low enough so that you can hear the customer CLEARLY and not what your listening too. a little...
Read moreDear owners, I would like to apologize for coming to your bakery. Your staff member made it clear we were not welcome and were an inconvenience to her afternoon. I grew up with George’s Bakery and wanted a donut. When I asked if the remaining sketchy-looking one was filled, I got a “no” filled with attitude. So opted for a raspberry bar (it was tasty). As short as could be, I heard, “$3.” No chance to even think about beverages. Clearly not paid by commission, we got an Italian soda. When my wife asked for strawberry-peach, she replied, “we don’t have peach” and while walking to the back, away from us, tapped the board saying, “here’s our flavors” with no interest to our choosing. By the time the drink was thrown together, I was deciding on my drink, she told us, “we’re closed now” and I thought she was about to usher, or rather push, us to the door. So let her know I’m sorry to boost the sales (especially during limited COVID business) and delaying her exit to do non-work activities. And also tell her she doesn’t need to worry about me, I won’t be...
Read moreFor those who are interested – We got married in June 2022, I know, our review is late – but it's better late than never! We wanted to write something helpful considering The North Bend Bakery crew were exactly that themselves. Planning your wedding is super fun, but there are a lot of details to sort out, all for the same day haha. Book the most important things first, and know that the sooner you get your vendors booked the better you’ll feel having one less thing to worry about! We booked with The North Bend Bakery back in July 2021. We had a tasting beforehand, and we recommend doing this to help you decide on flavors. We highly recommend the Red Velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, it is one of the best cakes we’ve ever had. The North Bend Bakery crew was willing to make the trip to the middle of the woods in Easton, WA for our wedding – which is something not everyone will do. The far-out location made planning a challenge for us until we discovered The North Bend Bakery. We absolutely recommend booking with The North Bend Bakery, you will be...
