Baalbek — Restaurant in North Bergen

I visited this past Saturday with A few friends, we arrived the place was empty it was ok as it was early, 9pm my friend ask for a menu and the answer was what you want? We were never told it was 1 set price and everyone got the same food, we kind of figure that out when we saw others get what we got, we also shared it was our 1st time and someone recommended the place to us. The only thing we enjoyed was the hummus and pita, they brought us this plate with meats all thrown together, the plate was cold, the rice, chicken and what appeared to be steak was all cold and dry I took one bite and spit it out as well as my friends and it was left there. The music was entertaining we did enjoy that, when it was time for a bill we were charge 55.00 each for that 1 plate of whatever it was and the hummus and olives we got, gratuity added, we were change 205+ for nothing we even brought our own wine. We felt taken advantage off we asked and no one ever told us how things worked at this place and we ended up paying for nothing, needless to say we left and we r NEVER going back. We were visiting the city and happened to notice this Lebanese restaurant. We came at about 9:30 pm and noticed the place was still empty. We were given a one page menu so we ordered. I noticed our food was ready very fast and served all at one time with two appetizers and two entrees. I figured it was because they were still empty and we were the only ones there. Half way through the meal my date stated that the meal was reheated and already cold. Then i noticed the metal serving dish which is usually piping hot out of the oven wasn't even warm. Needless to say I was very disappointed. I don't normally rate establishments even when its bad but I feel this establishment intentionally took advantage of me. The only thing half way decent about this place is the food. The pro was that the food is actually pretty good. The chicken fingers were meaty and the meat was pretty good. The one huge negative was that the silverware and dishes were dirty and stained. The service is sub par as well but to be honest the only reason i gave two stars was because of the cleanliness. The ambiance is ok but when we went it was buffet style and no joke i literally went through five dishes in order to get one that looked clean. This fact alone is why i gave a rating of two stars which i rarely give. The fact that dishes were dirty makes me thing the forks and cups were also not as clean as they should be.
