Foxcroft Food & Wine - Waverly — Restaurant in North Carolina

I don't think I have ever seen such a great wine selection in any restaurant before. I came here this past week with my husband and we loved everything from start to finish. We made reservations and did not specify for indoors or the patio, and it was nice the young gentleman asking us which we preferred when we walked in. We picked the patio and it was so nice out there. They have fans running which really helped keep it cool while sitting out there. Our server was a young women who was very knowledgeable and helped us with every selection we made from wine to food. It was very busy out there, but she made sure to spend enough time to where it felt very personable and clearly you could tell she likes what she does. We started with the Pinot flight off of her selection and it was a great pick. She recommended the Ricotta to start for apps and it did not disappoint. The slight flavor of lemon was so delicious, I could eat that every day! We asked about the specials and though they sounded delicious, she recommended the Rigatoni and to add scallops. This dish alone deserves its own review. It was one of the best pasta dishes I have had in a long time. The sauce was creamy enough but still so perfect with the tomato's and fresh garlic in it. I will be coming back for this dish monthly! My husband ordered the Flank Steak which really had such a great spread with it. It comes with a home made corn brûlée and then a cool summer squash. It came out on this really neat wooden tray too! The steak was the perfect size with the 2 additions of sides. It felt like a summer meal all that it had to offer! For dessert the recommendation was the home made coconut cake, with home made caramel sauce. Yes, read that again. All of it was home made and it was AMAZING. The slice was HUGE, so of course I shared a little with my husband. That alone is something that will keep my coming back, and I hope they keep it all year round. We ended the meal enjoying a glass of the Correspondence Pinot Noir that our kind server recommended and it really was perfect for a warm summer night. I take it back, their manager Gary was selectively rude when I replied to him who KEPT wanting me to reach out to their sister restaurants (for my neighbor Nicole 'Nikki' who lost her career job a number of years ago and they are merely in mid 20's) even though I told him a few months ago I had already left a voice message over the weekend to foxcroft southpark location. I checked to see whether gary and eric who I met at waverly foxcroft previously, to check the hiring situation for this girl and he refused and hung up the phone call, completely undeserved and unexpected cause Eric mentioned that even though no application was filled out for him Eric would check their other restaurants including foxcroft at southpark about urgent employment availability.

I CANNOT WISH GOOD LUCK TO THIS BUSINESS when the management and business owner does not value people consistently but behaved dismissive towards a potential employee not completely new to upscale...

I loved my experience here. Chase, the bartender, was awesome! I’m in Charlotte this week for work and have been solo dining nightly and have been getting terrible service everywhere I’ve gone so far. I went to Foxcroft tonight as it’s across from my hotel. I wanted to try some wines and grab a charcuterie board. Both the charcuterie board and marinated olives were excellent. The doughnuts were also to die for. They had a great wine selection as well, and the ambience was awesome. What made my experience great was Chase and his attentiveness. He took the time to converse with me and make suggestions on wines and let me sample a few. My boyfriend is a huge wine drinker, but I, myself, am not. Chase helped me find a wine I liked. He checked in frequently and made sure I had everything I needed. A+ service on his part. I will be sure to visit Foxcroft Wine Co when I’m back...
