Me and my family came in and when we walked in feeling unwelcome. We sat down and ordered drinks and I promise you that was the only thing that was good. We got our food and we ate 2 bites. The food was so disgusting. The server Yuki was extremely nice and understanding (at first), so we tried to get something different because when you're at a buffet place everything isn't gonna pleasure your pallet. The next plate of food we got was even worse. Their General Tzo Chicken was sour and the waitress said "it was supposed to be sour". The beef and broccoli was extremely salty, my head still hurting. The rolls was cold, the jello was bland, the donuts was burnt, the salad was just plain lettuce and cucumbers. They didn't even have ranch. We tried multiple foods giving this restaurant a chance, but everything was unpleasant and tasteless. Yuki gave us the tickets to pay and we definitely wasn't going to pay that amount after that experience. After the 3rd time of us telling Yuki the food was bad she ignored us and walked away after taking away plates full of food. We asked for the manager and we waited almost 10 minutes and no one came to the table. So we decided to get up and head to the front as we're walking out, the lady at the front starts screaming, demanding us to pay for the food we did not eat. Yuki walks up and tries to explain what happened and they started talking to each other and the manager pulled out her phone and called another manager that was able to understand us. As we're explaining it nicely she told us "why are yall still eating the food if it was nasty?" When you're at a buffet, you don't expect "EVERYTHING" to be likeable, but for everything to be inedible, something's wrong. One ticket was $50 and the other one was $21. All we did was drink sweet tea. I went to explain to all 3 of the workers that it wasn't fair to pay that amount when we didn't even eat half of the food. They tried to negotiate and take only $10 off, which was unacceptable. 5 minutes later of us still explaining how bad the food was they were not being reasonable about the situation. At this point I was willing to pay $25 for one of the tickets. My pregnant friend said that she'll pay just for her drinks and told them she'll go to the car to get cash and come right back. The guy worker yelled at her and he was being very disrespectful and that's when the situation slightly got out of hand. I paid half of the bill anyway. So as we're walking out they followed us outside and shoved us with their bodies! The food was nasty and the managers was rude. This place made our stomachs turn. I don't recommend anyone...
Read moreI don't want to be negative but I feel I have to share my recent experience at China Buffet. First thing I noticed when I walked in with my two young grandchildren was the heat. It was uncomfortably hot and I considered leaving then, but decided to stay. The young man up front confirmed the AC had been down for several days and that was the reason for all the fans. The area we sat in (no fans) had old black booths and our dining room was dark and dreary. I studied the room wondering how many years those booths had been there with no cleaning. The server came and took our drink orders with no personality, no smile, nothing. I walked my granddaughter to the salad bar and the first thing she said was that something was on the lettuce. When I looked closely I could see the brown spots my granddaughter was worried about. I called one of the servers over and asked if she could put some fresh lettuce out. She and another server had a short conversation in Chinese. One of the servers then walked over to the buffet, without gloves, and proceeded to pull out the bad lettuce and take it away. Am I wrong by thinking she should have apologized to us, removed the whole container and replaced with fresh lettuce? By the way, no smile or friendly interaction with us. I had ordered iced tea with lemon. One of the lemon wedges had some type of mold looking black spots. I took my fingernail and could scratch off the dark spots. Still not sure if it was mold or dirt. Lastly, I noticed something very disconcerting at the Hibachi area. The stainless steel buffet unit they use to house the raw Hibachi ingredients, had a piece missing. The lip of the unit close to the food, had been removed for some reason or fallen off. All I could see was dried glue and I'm not sure what else but it looked horribly unsanitary. Needless to say, I won't be...
Read moreWe always come here to eat either Saturdays or Sundays. The lady up front who is in charge of sitting down the people, was so rude to us. We came to wat with my kids and husband plus a family of 4 that were some relatives of ours. She sat us at a table, but there was other people around and I have 2 little ones and they are always up standing, I politely asked her if we would have the table at the end. She took a deep breath, grabbed the utensils in a rude way, turned to look at her other coworker , and she made a disgusting face and started talking in her language (Im sure obviously about me and my family) . She moved us to the table which was not far just one table away, and she proceeded to scream in my face and ask (why I wanted a different table, and saying it was the same one. ) I kindly told her, Im sorry we just feel more comfortable, I have 2 little ones and don't want to be in the way of other people while they are eating) and continued to talk to me in such a disrespectful way saying/screaming “it didn’t matter More people were going to come” I only said well we just feel better here seated) she contiued to be rude asking my kids age and what my family wanted to drink in a mad tone. By the way we paid $180 , plus gave out good tip . we didn’t deserve to be screamed at for a table !??? There are ways she could have spoken to me. We are the customers !! So unprofessional, and disrespectful, disgusting, and disappointing. I hope one day she gets the same treatment and remembers me and how she made me and my family feel . We will be coming back and I will continue to choose the table I feel comfortable seating at, and if that’s a BIG problem, I will take my family to what somewhere is :) I hope she...
