Been here once before and got bubble tea and it was really good. Stopped by again today and had a really bad experience. I placed my order for boba tea and she asked me if I wanted something and I didn’t quite hear her so I said no thanks just the boba. Got my drink and no boba. Went back to the counter and said I asked for it and the person that took my order (black and green hair with facial piercings) tried to argue that she asked me if I wanted anything extra. I said correct and I said no just the boba tea please and she then said well the boba costs extra. Usually I am super laid back and try not to be a jerk but she was so rude and argued with me and rolled her eyes when I explained that I had asked for just the boba tea. I politely asked for a refund. Sorry but I won’t give my business AND $2 tip to someone that rolls their eyes at me and argues with me about my own order. Super disappointing and I hope the person that helps me can adjust their attitude. Servers deserve respect for sure but also I shouldn’t be made to feel bad about asking for a correction on my order due to a misunderstanding.
In response to the reply to my review- Correct. I was NOT charged for the boba and i would’ve happily paid for it if the server didnt give me such an attitude for the misunderstanding. Mistakes happen. It was how I was treated that really sucked. It is HARD to ask for adjustments to an order. It can be hard to advocate for yourself and when you do, it really sucks to be treated like I’m a bother or being annoying.
Perhaps consider making the physical menus bigger and making it more apparent that when boba tea is ordered you need to specify you want boba in it and not...
Read moreFirst of all the young employees were on their personal phones chatting when I walked in. We used to love this place, but we went today and 3 of the 5 drinks tasted like sour milk. It was awful. Not like they messed up, definitely tasted bad. Either bad fruit or soured milk. We have had these exact drinks before and usually love it, but something was wrong. It wasn’t even edible the flavor tasted like vomit. When we went back to exchange the 3 bad tasting drinks, just having them remake them, they argued with us and said they would only refund me for one drink and that was that. Mind you, I was only trying to exchange for the 3 thar tasted awful, we kept the 2 that tasted normal (exact same drinks- but only 2 tasted normal) They gave me money for one back and then didn’t even offer to make two new drinks to replace the other two. They took the 3 bad tasting drinks- refunded me for 1 and then said that they could NOT make me new drinks for the other 2. So I spent $40 and walked out with just the 2 drinks that originally tasted fine. We used to be regulars at this place, but will not ever be back. Mistakes happen, but them not wanting to fix the problem was horrible customer service. They could have just remade the drinks- we brought them back immediately and they were still full.
The young employees were incredibly rude and the fact that I paid $40 and they didn’t even replace the rotten tasting drinks, is the worst service I’ve ever gotten. There are other amazing boba places in Charleston that we will be sticking to from now on. Complete waste of money today at...
Read moreI usually swear by this place, have been going here for over 3 years. But I have noticed their store gradually going downhill. It is always super dirty (interior and exterior), and the bathroom is nasty. Everytime I come in the employees are just sitting on their phones, goofing off instead of using their free time to improve the overall look of the store. But what really got me was when I went in the other day and ordered two drinks. I played my order after a large group had ordered. I got a crème brûlée brown sugar milk tea with black boba. I sat down, waited probably over 30 minutes, and then I hear them tell the large group that they don’t have enough boba for the rest of their drinks. So I figured maybe they would make more, seeing as they are a boba shop. But finally I get my drink and there are white pearls in it, which is not only annoying because it’s not what I ordered, but they didn’t even attempt to communicate with me about the substitution. She told me she could make the drink without the pearls and I reluctantly agreed, but then she doesn’t even make the correct drink. It also had some chunky bits at the bottom, which made me not even want to bother drinking it anymore. What’s insane to me is that a BOBA shop ran out of boba. You’d think they would make more or make enough in the first place, but like I mentioned the staff is clearly lazy. So, I don’t think I’ll be buying from this...
