Update: I was very impressed by Morty’s response to my bad experience. I’ve enjoyed this restaurant in the past, and I hope my negative experience a one-off event. I appreciate how quickly they made things right and look forward to returning for another try.
Original Review: I have always enjoyed visiting the Morty’s near the USU campus. I’d get an Iconic Burger on a Thursday. It would come out fast. It’s delicious and reasonably priced. What’s not to love. I was therefore rather disappointed by my experience last Thursday at the North Logan Morty’s.
I placed an online order Thursday evening and was informed by their online ordering system that my order would be ready in ~15 minutes (5:45), so I headed to Morty’s. I was informed when I got there that they’d “have that right out to me” so I settled at a table to wait. I am a very chill person when it comes to such things, so I wasn’t too worried after waiting 15 minutes, but orders kept coming in (long drive through line and customers coming in to get the Thursday deal on iconic burgers) and I could tell the kitchen staff were getting frantic. The kitchen is fairly open to the dining area, so I could hear the manager telling off various other employees for messing up orders and yelling at them to work faster. I was definitely not the only customer being made uncomfortable by this / wondering if we’d ever get our food. Clearly some of the employees were new and the manager did not have the leadership skills to organize them to handle the rush. I finally got my food at 6:30 (45 minutes late!) and rushed home to eat because I had a commitment I had to leave for at 7:00. Upon arriving home I realized that the salad with chicken I had ordered wasn’t in the bag. Moreover the double burger I ordered only had one patty on it. I was prepared to give the staff the benefit of the doubt on the absurdly long wait, unprofessional behavior, and lack of communication, but on a $50 order, I didn’t receive $20 dollars of my food! That’s almost half of my...
Read moreThe price increase is laughable. Maybe if you did something to improve your business then it would make sense but it’s gotten worse. They forgot one of my burgers, luckily the manager was understanding and gave us a gift card. However, upon returning the associate then almost gave us the wrong food AGAIN which would’ve resulted in another forgotten burger. The two times I’ve been here they’ve forgotten my burger or almost did it again!! Clearly they weren’t ready for a drive thru because they are struggling don’t recommend. Thought the USU location would be better but they gave me a completely raw burger, and I like pink so this is insane. Done with all the bad service in Logan and hopefully something gets...
Read moreFood: Burger was burned into oblivion and inedible. My wife who enjoys char and crunchy bits even thought so. We actually took it back and they cooked up a new burger that was also burned into oblivion. Fries were good and probably the only reason I’m leaving 2 stars.
Location: Tiny spot with nowhere to sit, tables were all gross so we ate outside at a gross, sticky table with flies.
All the employees looked high school age and are probably being paid min wage. So customers and employees are just being exploited for sheer profits. Expect to spend $20+ for a meal.
They were out of fry sauce as well which should be a punishable offense in the...
