Southern Sunrise Pancake House — Restaurant in North Myrtle Beach

The food is your average pancake house along the Grand Strand. Nothing out of the ordinary and the cost is no different from most other establishments offering the same breakfast items. Close your eyes and tap your heels and you could be in any number of similar pancake houses. We had French toast and an omelette - the syrup is not heated like some other pancake places.

Explain to me how paying the bill with cash is a "cash discount?" There's no deduction in the amount paid off the bill when using cash - so there's actually no discount. You're still paying the full price of the food and tax - you're not paying less if you use cash. This "discount" feels like false advertising. The customer is just not paying the marked up credit card fee (also ridiculous to pass this along to customers - it's the cost of your business...

Stopped on the way out for one last meal with the family, ordered the southwestern omelet with Grits and toast, side of sausage, and soda. Others in my party ordered the Salmon Benedict, Hash omelet, Florentine Benedict, and pancakes. My food was okay, they forgot the Grits at first but quickly remedied that when prompted, it was the best tasting part of my meal. The food wasn't bad by any means, just very bland. Lots of hotsauce, salt and pepper, and butter was added to every dish. In town for vacation and we were searching for breakfast; stumbled upon this place and could not be happier that we did. The service was great, food came out fast and you got more than enough to fill you up. I got the banana nut pancakes and they were absolutely awesome. My friend got the french toast and said it was the best she's ever tasted! Camryn our waitress was a sweetheart. Turned out she was working with our dinner waitress the night before at a seafood place we went to. Glad to see someone with great work ethic these days. If you are looking for a great breakfast or lunch, you need to give this place a try, you won't be disappointed! PS: They are only open...
